The importance of good defense

KC doesn't think so!!!

The D of Philly completely directed the game flow in the super bowl. KC's D completely directed the game flow year before vs SF.

Jerry has got you snowed. The D directs the game flow in most super bowls. D was the only reason the Rams won. Only reason Cincy got there in the first place.

Offhand, the O directing the game flow is simply incorrect.

a 9:29 min 3rd quarter drive by the Giants crushed the heart of the Bills.

Yeah the memo was going to Michigan and investing a 1st round pick, which is something we haven't done in years! So there won't be much change "we spent a lot of resources" in Mazi and the recent signing of Osa, Jerry is about tapped out of what to do next!!! I guess he figures seeing his D get run all over makes him happy that all the fantasy football leaders are winning their leagues!!
Drafting is like lottery sometimes, you hit right away and get a star or mediocre player, Mazi has so far shown nothing worth early ( let alone 1st round ) pick . But that doesnt mean the need to get good DTs goes away, you have to pay anyhow , either in FA or Draft , the problem is our holes in D is not only in DT , its there in Lbs , safeties , CBs everywhere, our D to go into top 5 needs a long way,

If your offense controls the ball and scores TDs, that doesn't happen.
It forces the opposing offense to play differently, take chances and give up turnovers.

Winning is offense and defense complementing each other

Twice....you need a 3rd?

how many games do you win giving up 30 pts?
Defense wasn't the missing element this past season. Injury was the culprit and fully at the cruxt. Take your blame to someone else. 30 points? Try a broken box area with linebackers and tackles missing all over. That provide game changers? Take your off season 30 year calendar and lose it until things really start evolving beyond a stereotyped and annual attack fest. That lacks ethics. Just isn't any right way to do your wrong thing.

Meh, let him flail. Me pointing out defenses tend to struggle with being aggressive and getting turnovers when the QB is spitting the bit all over the field apparently ruffled his feelings.
You still crawling around? Cowardly. Either shut up or keep it moving. Don't pretend to still want to be embarrassed for your terrible takes. Trying to explain the Seattle playoff game was you pretending to push back knowing it was a L.

I don't get it
No, you are a harassment ... and talk no football. So? Woopie, just who cares...that element is what the average Joe is having stolen from him now. No wonder you don't understand...or care unless you get to just insult.

agreed. but defense needs to make a few stops. if the defense consistenlty gives up TDs and over 30 points and can't make stops, then it puts pressure on offense and IMHO makes them one dimentional. offense can't score on every possession. and thus you fall behind and become one dimentional. which makes it more predictable. which makes it easier to defend.

KC won 15 games this past year because their defense didn't give up more than 30 points. the two times they did...they lost. same in playoffs.
