The importance of good defense

Fans cry about run game and defense to end the season, and fans want WRs lol. Run game and Defense should be the primary needs, but this is Dallas 30 years and running of football done the wrong way.
That is the very best investment in future cap available in this exact draft. Smart.

yeah, but the problem isn't that they're not addressing the run game or oL, they simply did do it last year. 2 rooks on the OL, martin slipped, injuries and bad coaching....IT caught up to them...its about BPA draft the RB if it's Clear hes the best at 12.not clear to fans, true to the pro teams Board

you cant pass on a WR-TE if hes clearly the best on their board that does NOT mean you ignored the Run game or DL, you can get those in the 2nd deep RB class.

a running back and a wide receiver are both needs but if you can't get the same quality WR in the 2nd as you can the RB you take the WR first. that's where trading up and trading down to adjust this need vs BPA and not have reach issues.. hopefully they get it right this year. cowboys have almost always had a very solid offensive line and run game some of the best Runni g backs in the league MOST years,

i believe this new coaching staff will get back on track there

At the end of that game I fully expected James Washington to be named MVP.

It’s very similar to the Randy Hughes situation in 77.
Yeah, he made two really big plays. Maybe we win without them anyway, but our offense wasn't doing much against Buffalo's defense. Emmitt did have a big day, though.

But you're calling this guy Jerry Rice Jerry Rice was one of the best route runners in the NFL that's why he played for so long he didn't need to be fast I don't think this guy's that kind of route runner they're calling him a 5050 ball guy they're trying to make an assumption he's kinda like Dez Bryant but Dez Bryant had more speed he wasn't super fast but then Bryant could run punts kicks and he could at least beat his guy with a little bit of speed the knock on this guy is not just because he's slow is that he's not a polished route runner and then he depends on winning jump balls I'm saying tell me where I'm wrong because I'm just reading all the mock drafts and the red flags on him is he's not right now very polished why would you get a guy at #12 if he needs to work on his game in the NFL you don't get away with just athleticism they will take that little separation that you're getting now in college and they will shut it down that's why I got like golden can get open easier take the top off of defense and we can work with that better...

I'm just going by the mock drafts I've never seen the kid play a game I mean his team wasn't good enough they didn't show up any Arizona games or where we played I'm saying change my mind because a lot of people are agreeing he could be a reach at 12 they're not saying he's not a first rounder but maybe he doesn't belong at 12 you move down ,not up..

I could be wrong but I'd hate for them to pick a guy at 12 that can't come in and right away be a great #2 you tell me he's T Higgins and I'll take him but I don't think he is...

all i'm saying is you really can't miss the first three players... we need to get 3 starters out of this draft, typically going to happen in the first 3 rounds.. you can't miss on whoever we pick at 12. tell me hes a cant miss show me??.
In the draft, final appraisals are by team and their uses. Don't short sell short the Arizona receiver as this is a passing league and he has attained quite a bit of separation down a level and he can be thrown open just as Michael Irvin was treated by Troy Aikman. Jump balls and close contact balls are his. That puts coverage areas enlarged for opposing defenses. He'll get a 1000 yards with CD.

If wanted, someone will move ahead of Dallas to ensure getting him. I don't forsee this a similar draft that the Cowboys landed CD Lamb.

Dallas needs are often fought for as well.

WR and RB to this fan sells the direction offensively now.

You think people actually read this stuff? Lol this is my last response to you in here. Write another essay for me.
Say thank you or don't ask...next.
It's offered and objective, honestly on football. Not medals to share.

What's the best investment?
First round wide receiver that has a 5 year contract before negotiating further. This along with retention is a high dollar limiter as to future cap expenses. 5 years before player shuffling is involved at the top market demanded position. Passing league forges the strength of current and future needs. Outside free agents are mighty costly other wise.

Finances play a part, but if your team is going by money and building a lesser team that's counterproductive. Pick the best player and let CapBoy do his job of figuring out the money.

Not valid. There is a bunch more to the picture when talented players are involved and start to grow. There are sustainment elements that have to be met to maintain a great team. Injury kills accumulation team strenths.

Here and now, lose CD Lamb to injury and how many years are needed to overcome that one incident concerning team strengths. Naw, it's a strong need and not just a position to interchange.

Thought you meant Hughes at first.

Yeah didn’t Emmitt take like all 13 plays on a TD drive early second half?

I somehow never rewatched that game in full.

Fight the urge! You barge in to a conversation that had nothing to do with you then cry to mods. Interesting
Not at all true, you insulted the guy and he was talking football. Son, this is a discussion forum and he was talking football. Show some respect yourself. You didn't begin talking football with me and never again use that kind of low brow insult my way. I don't cry to any one. That IS the rules here. Own them yourself.

Know what Reality's monitor was when he made this forum? Hell no you don't...

Well that's already happened at CB, and Bland has a contract coming up, so CB should be ahead of WR from this viewpoint. Also, the CBs available at 12 would arguably be just as worthy or more than the WRs.

They held them in check. Like Dallas D did with SF. Only difference is, Dak didn't come back.

Like I said, this defense has been a paper tiger and depends on playing with a lead, or the offense at least keeping them off the field. They are no more the Legion of Boom than Dak is Russ.
But we have lots of hybrid players who can play multiple positions, while not playing any of them very well
