Dak is 2016 Romo. Lance is 2016 Dak.

Dak's career with the Cowboys will end the same way Romo's did.

That is being replaced via a 4th round pick that started the season as the 3rd string QB.

The only question is will it be because of Dak's play or his inability to stay healthy?

Everybody thinks Lance is just not ready, but the same things were said about Dak.

History is repeating itself right before our eyes.

Actually, people were praising what little they saw of Dak in preseason of 2016. Lance, not so much.

Not really. In 2016 Romo looked like this:

Dak is still upright. Try again.

This will be another one of those 'injury prone' themed threads. Every athlete is susceptible to injury but only the ones who sustain an injury or injuries get the label. As if injuries happened according to a calendar. Or some players carried lucky rabbit feet inside their pads.

That said, the irony is never missed on me. Back in 2016, some people were adamant the change at quarterback was bolstered by 'the fact' that the successor would not get injured like the predecessor. It is funny how not funny that false assumption proved to be.

Lane was a 4th pick (in the 1st round) not a 4th round pick. I guess you mean because we gave up a 4th rounder.

This is a bad comp. Dak was not ready because he hadnt played, barely even in the preseason. But he had a good and full college career. Trey Lance isnt ready because he sucks. Before the trade all the people on ESPN and NFL Network were talking about what a bust he is and how Sam Darnold was named #2. They were discussing how SF blew the pick, Trey didnt play much in college and was awful in his few chances in SF. They were showing footage of all the bad throws he made. Why because Dallas gets him is he suddenly good? Stranger things have happened but Trey is not destined to be the next Dak, he is destined to be the next Steve Walsh, Drew Henson and Chad Hutchinson, guys the Boys gave up little for but who had potential upside, but in the end did nothing. Book that.

You know bro, I have OCD and can tell you have some obsessive tendencies. They make some really effective medication for it these days. Just go to your doctor, and tell them the truth - all you can think about is Dak Prescott. You have posted thousands of messages online about Dak Prescott, and you don’t even like him! You just don’t know how to stop!

They’ll definitely understand it’s an obsessive compulsive disorder. Don’t worry that they’ll think you’re weird. I’m sure most doctors have seen weirder! Probably.

I'll be fine if they start Lance.
We won't see much difference.
Dak often plays like a rookie anyway.

Book this you and no one else on this forum know what Lance has capability wise bc he hadn’t played. Think about Lance has played all of what 4 games in the nfl. He was hurt first year(2021) broke index finger that he couldn’t straighten in order to throw, remind me of someone last year, except he didn’t have the excuse train behind him. 2022 broke a tub/fib l also like someone we know. Point is no one knows what his capability is, but he did score a 40 on the wonderlic vs Dak 25. Maybe he can’t read defenses bc he hasn’t had the opportunity to get his legs under him in real game situations. Haters will say he has had plenty of time to show he can learn through watching film and being in qb room, however, Jimmy g says otherwise in his support of Treys trade.
