No worse or better than church or Wilcox imo. The scheme is utter dog turd ..it simply does not put players in position to make plays. Hence why we never get turnovers..
He's miles worse than them.

I'll admit I was wrong on him for sure. I thought he brought enough to the table to make up for what he lacked, but that has been far from the case.

Undrafted from Saginaw Valley St, that's not the blueprint for a good Safety in today's NFL.....there is a blueprint and it isn't a secret, follow it.....

They liked him because he was a good athlete...just another mistake added to a long list...he was a good athlete. They kept too many of these types. They try to be cute thinking they out smart all other teams...but they really just out dumb themselves time after time.

Heath and Wilber why are they still here....coaching, Wade Wilson, head scratcher. He has done nothing. Why is Dak struggling on his accuracy, Wade sure is not helping him, so add another to the list, why isn't Kellen Moore helping, I though he was supposed to be smart to help.

Heath, Jones, and Frazier are just next in a long line that includes the likes of Matt Johnson, Alan Ball and Akwasi Owusu-Ansah. Remember those names? This team cant evaluate safeties for ****, maybe they lucked up with Woods time will tell.

No safeties and no linebackers is a hard way to make a living on defense.

They had the chance to draft LB's, they usually do. But no, not this year. They drafted Switzer, as I never like that pick, but wanted to wait and see. They drafted 2 DT's that we did not need to in the 7th. When they could have had the same chance on 2 LB's, probably a better chance.

McClay has made the drafting better, but still some head scratchers too.

Shaky offseason from the front office.

Carroll - dumb signing

Turning SS over to Heath - dumb move

Letting Leary walk - not looking so hot

Taking a project in Rd 1 - not a total disaster but certainly you'd like to get more production and play out of your first round pick, even a late first rounder.

Lewis and Woods seem like fine acquisitions and I think Awuzie will be good as well.

Sounds like a Jerry move. Don't pay the players who got you to 13-3. Anyone can win with this talent Jerry Jones.

Agree. It seems we will give up yards, first downs, waiting for the mistake to happen, and to date its not TO type of mistakes, just a bad pass or missed catch... When you play that far off the line the opposition just takes the yards.

Contrast that to other teams who take us on man to man, and give Dak , even with time, very tight spaces to throw a ball into and then our Wideouts drop the ball.

Also factor in that teams have taken away Witten and Beasley leaving our 2 starters in position A above - not separation

I need to come clean guys, I was actually excited about Heath starting this year. He made some plays last year and I thought he was growing into a player. WOW was I wrong. Funny how guys like Heath and Wilcox can look so good in limited roles but when given an oppurtunity poop in thier big boy pants.

Also too many camp accolades to make us think that there was no need to worry about it in the regular season

Couple that with playing off of deep and we give the opposition free yards to start with and the advantage of being at full acceleration by the time our safeties show up

The safeties as a unit is bad.

Jeff Heath is just the biggest offender.

No, I lied. The Front Office and coaching staff who signed off on this group are the biggest offenders.

Agree. They seem to be around the ball more, and are surer tacklers, especially for their size.

The best S on the team is Woods. Jones is a slot CB and man defender against TEs and big WRs.

Basically we have one decent S on the team and like 8 CBs.

agreed with most of these, but Leary was going to cost way more then we could afford

I don't disagree and if your best player in the position is a rookie you drafted in the 6th round, it only reiterates my point that the FO and staff really blew this.

frazier and heath are both camp bodies that we some how want to start. Its amazing the crap we keep fielding on defense especially at the safety position. Byron Jones is serviceable but heath is nothing more than a special teams player.

What are we doing at linebacker? It's Sean Lee and then the drop off is huge. Can we please focus on retooling this defense in the offseason. All 3 phases. Dline, linebackers and secondary. Play the best guys. Not the most experienced guys.

I have officially seen enough. He might be the worst starting safety in the league (worse than Tony Dixon was); he takes horrible angles, doesn't wrap up on tackles, and continues to be a huge liability in the passing game.

Name Xavier Woods the starter now and move Heath back exclusively to special teams.

I agree completely! Heath has never been all that special.
