The Khalil Mack deal screwed us

DLaw was a guy we groomed and waited on. We moved up in the draft to get him........He's one of the guys that makes Jerry look smart and feel good about himself as GM. No way he walks in the prime of his career. Jerry will sign him and it was always going to be expensive.

As much as I hate to take a chance on a player w/ previous back injuries, DLaw has to be paid.

It's just the nature of the game, every new contract will be bigger than the last, he definitely did his part last game, main thing for him needs to stay healthy.
