True. Having suffered from the losses in super bowls 10 and 13 (I was too young for super bowl 5), I can tell you losing sucks. I have hated everything Pissburgh ever since.

But in order to get a chance to win it you have to get there. Unfortunately for Dallas fans we have an owner / GM who only seems to be interested in a decent regular season record. Just remaining relevant is the goal.
Answer this question for me Tex Schram won two Super Bowls in 30 years and he's a GOD, Jerry Jones won three in 30 years and he's the worse thing to ever own the Cowboys

Why is that ?

Now Hurtz gets 50m and the eagles can’t afford to surround him with 22 probowlers….hence the cycle will repeat…

I never said I thought he was God, but since you bring up Tex as a comparison, I'll play along. Does 20 straight winning seasons and tons of playoff wins mean anything to you? 5 super bowl appearances?

Care to compare that to the past 27 years of Jerry?

No I'm aware that Dallas had 20 straight playoffs appearances under Tex. Let's look at Jerry So 32 years ago Jerry bought the Cowboys correct?

Within four years, they won the Super Bowl and became arguably the greatest team in all of sports. San Fran , Pittsburgh and New England can argue but you would not be crazy if you made the argument. So all I'm asking is

why is Jerry Looked at with disdain, with his Three Super Bowls and Four straight trips to the NFC Championship Game. I acknowledge a fans right to be disappointed in the long wait to return to Glory, I'm just asking why Jerry is seen as

Such a terrible owner
Is this a trick question?

Jerry gave himself the GM titled but Jimmy did the heavy lifting.
Jerry was the one who signed the checks buddy. Jimmy was great but Jimmy was just as much at fault as Jerry for the split. Jimmy never realized such success again. At least Jerry won a Super Bowl without Jimmy

BTW< I'm still pissed about it, we could have ran off a string of maybe 5 in a row

Not saying that this thread is not interesting but anyone using it to bash Eagles fans after the last 27 years of Cowboys futility is really grasping at straws……

yeah, its really gotten that bad here.

So what I am reading is Jerry gets a free pass because of something Jimmy Johnson built 30 years ago. At least Tex spread his success out over his 30 year span. Jerry had early success that was credited to Jimmy and has since turned the franchise into a joke.

Yes, Jerry is a bad owner now and has been for nearly 30 years straight.
