The winning team started a rookie phenom at QB as well as a league-leading rookie RB in the same backfield. I am looking for history to repeat itself but how ironic is that???

You have to admit that RG3 looked like the real deal for one year. I hope we aren't saying that about Dak down the road. I don't think it will happen because Dak has won by being sound. But the fall of RB3 and Kapernik both give me concerns because they looked like those guys would be really good for a long time.

those guys were frauds, they won with their legs and when that didnt work they were lost. This will not happen to Dak because he rarely runs,i think he never ran against the steelers.

No I don't have to admit that. At no point did I think he was the real deal. You were duped. Not me.

Those other two were athletes playing QB. They were dumb one readers who had no chance at sustained success in the NFL. That notion of offensive football being revolutionized with those two frauds was foolhardy.

Prescott is smart, poised with true leadership skills. The exact opposite of the former two. He just lacks arm talent. So while I expect his stock to drop from here I don't think it will be anything like the bums you mentioned. Who really shouldn't be in the league. At least not at that position.

Yeah...sort of trip how quickly their careers derailed after they set the world on fire. I agree that Dak is a different QB altogether than the more gimmicky "pistol" style types that were here today and gone tomorrow.

Why is the original poetic irony of my OP turning into this??! LOL!

Rookie QB phenom? He was a fraud and I told you he was all along. His career crashed and burned with the quickness.

Oh. Okay. I see where you're going with this.
Yeah, I blame that on Shanahan, no way in the world was Shanahan suppose to play Griffin in the playoffs on that knee. Griffin wasn't hurt, he was injured, therefore sit him until next year.

20/20 is hindsight, if Griffin plays well and does not get hurt more in the playoffs, people than would say he's a future star who played with torn ligaments. But, Griffin torn his knee all the way and that world class 4.3 - 4.4 speed and career went away in a snap of the finger .

His knee had nothing to do with his failed career. He lacks talent. He had no chance to develop into a franchise QB. Can't read defenses, isn't accurate, isn't a leader. Just a total fraud.

I don't think he lacks arm talent. I think he lacks the technique when under pressure.

When he throws off his back foot, his passes are almost always on target and on time. When he doesn't, he throws late and inaccurate.

Daks success as a rookie is closely tied to Zeke and the offensive line..Remove either one and he will struggle like a normal rookie.

Wow. My thread topic has been taken over by an RG3 debate. Mods. Please change the title to be more reflective of the discussion. Thanks! :)

Hmm...you knew those two were "dumb one readers who had no chance at sustained success in the NFL", yet, they were undeniably praised by more than 5 NFL execs

I wonder what those "5 NFL execs" thought of RG3 and Kap coming out in the draft...
