His knee had nothing to do with his failed career. He lacks talent. He had no chance to develop into a franchise QB. Can't read defenses, isn't accurate, isn't a leader. Just a total fraud.
He could have learned in the off-season. He was having a great year until the first injury, then the second injury was fatal. I would have loved to see what he could have done if healthy. Maybe he continues to light it up or he flops but the injury killed his career from that point regardless if he couldn't read a defense.

You have to admit that RG3 looked like the real deal for one year. I hope we aren't saying that about Dak down the road. I don't think it will happen because Dak has won by being sound. But the fall of RB3 and Kapernik both give me concerns because they looked like those guys would be really good for a long time.
We won't be saying this 3 or 4 years down the road. RG3 is an athlete who plays quarterback. Dak is a QB who is athletic. Dak's accuracy, poise, confidence, fundamentals, and ability to read defenses separates him from the likes of RG3 and Kap. Those guys were guys who ran if the first read wasn't there. Once the league figured this out and kept them in the pocket and made them go through there progressions then they faded from the spotlight.

The league has thrown everything blitz and defense at Dak and he continues to shine with his arm and his mind, and not his legs.

We're in good shape for a long time barring injury, knock on wood.

Wow. My thread topic has been taken over by an RG3 debate. Mods. Please change the title to be more reflective of the discussion. Thanks! :)
Lol, so to go back to the original topic, it is ironic that this game between the skins has a rookie phenom and leading rusher and it's on our team. So will history repeat itself and the team with the rookie phenoms will win. I think yes, history will repeat itself and we will win tomorrow:thumbup:

True.

Dak carries himself differently. It's insulting to put them in same post.

RGIII was proclaiming himself the greatest of all time. A bizzaro Mohammed Ali.

The offense he ran his rookie year was a simplistic dumbed down offense that could not be sustained in the NFL. Like the league adjusted to Chip Kelly, they adjusted to Griffin.

If you knew football you knew those numbers his rookie year meant nothing.

Injuries killed RG3. His knees are now made of mush. As well as he was just a one read QB. Like Kap. And those QBs can never have long term success. NFL defenses will eat up a one read QB.

The problem with that is I routinely said it before and during his pro career.

I understand you want company on being wrong.

Hindsight is what I'm accused of when those that were wrong all along want some company. People know. I told you he was a fraud when he was still in Baylor. If you weren't bright enough to know it that's your problem.

Ok, just name those people, then we will see who the smart one is. Or who the dumb person is bragging on something 4 years later.

Rookie QB phenom? He was a fraud and I told you he was all along. His career crashed and burned with the quickness.

Oh. Okay. I see where you're going with this.
You lost me with the correlation between RGIII and Dak Prescott . Nowhere near the same.

Anyone who reads these boards over the last 5 years.

I don't have to prove anything to you. You are lying to try to look less clueless.

Risen is wrong about an awful lot of things (Prescott, our drafting, our move to the ZBS, Landry Jones, drafting Chance Warmack at #1 overall being a good idea, Doug Free being 'garbage,' most of his draft projections, any player we take in a late round he pretends to be sure about without ever having seen a pro snap). It's a long list. But I do remember him being down on RGIII even while RGIII was tearing it up. It's not hindsight in this case.

May so, but I can't recall it. He mentioned 'people' I just wanted to see all these people.
