The last two drafts

At least most of the draft picks we are taking have a chance at being something. Not as many outright head scratchers with limited upside being selected anymore.

It is also clear that we have a plan to draft high sparq score players.

Risk/reward. If Gregory and Jaylon pan out its probably a better draft run than even the Seahawks went on. Although their late rounders were just incredibly fortunate.

If they don't pan out, it hurts a bit. But 2 second rounders is probably worth it.

When Romo is done Garrett will either move to the front office or move to another team ......
Book it.

I hope you're right, but on the surface, it appears that Jerry has hitched his long-term wagon to Garrett.

But we wont have long term success till Jerry Jones is gone ....... hate to say that and sound callous ....... but its true.

This is what I think (except I think it's a good thing). It always surprises me to hear fans suggest he's short term. Jason has quite a bit of leash if the team doesn't fall apart around him, and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I dont think he is short term ........ I think he moves into the front office.

I think he will be (and paid like) defacto GM for Stephen Jones after Jerry leaves ....... they will make a new position about football operations and he will basically be the right hand of Jerry on the football side while Stephen runs the company and financial side.

Sadly, the team completely fell apart around him last year. There's no denying the fact that any HC would struggle after losing his Pro Bowl QB, but I have to think that a better HC would have done better than winning 2 games without Romo (pretty sure it was 2, correct me if I'm wrong).

Maybe. That's a move that cold make sense if there's ever a vacancy in Dallas. He and Stephen seem to work well together.

I keep hearing that ....... does anyone have a link where a doctor says this?

I actually heard this about him as far back as his days at Nebraska, granted, I've never read any actual evidence.

I was shocked how few games we won when Romo went down, because I really do think we've built a decent team, overall. But I wouldn't characterize that team as having quit on the coach by any stretch.

I mean ....... I call my little brother bipolar because he is an idiot who makes stupid decisions all the time over and over.

But that does not mean he really is.

If I implied that the team quit, that wasn't my intention. I simply think that we did a poor job of adjusting our scheme and an even poorer job of playing to the strengths of guys like Weeden; that falls on coaching in my book.

I did think of this after the Smith pick. Five 1st round talents in two drafts. 4 of the 5 being top 10 talents.
