The last two drafts

I mean ....... I call my little brother bipolar because he is an idiot who makes stupid decisions all the time over and over.

But that does not mean he really is.

Here's one article making mention of his multiple mental issues:http://sportsday.***BANNED-URL***/d...owboys-randy-gregory-has-no-chance-to-succeed

Still dont see anywhere he was diagnosed that by a doctor ....... still just the mysterious "sources"

I think this is one of them

jason garrett has been here since 2007. we should be competing for championships by now. i'm not going to fall for this rebuilding/building thing anymore.

It's more about Stephen jones and will McClay along with garret. Garret has been head coach since dez draft. Jerry has step aside and let will McClay and company do the scouting

You bring up a good point, people hooked on marijuana are rarely doing it because they're self-medicating.

lol I don't really care painkillers are worse for you and they are legal. These guys turn their bodies into rag dolls for our amusement if he wants to smoke pot more power to him just don't get caught.

Gregory simply cant be counted on. I wouldnt be surprised if he fails his next test......

once a druggie always a druggie. Its rare they ever change their stripes.

The Cowboys gave him a chance. He blew it. If I were JJ I would ask him for my money back. But its literally going up in smoke.

Didn't we make a few trades for Cassell and Bryce Butler?

I see you are probably one of those who credit all thing good with Garrett and all things bad with the front office. Do you really think it was Garrett who convinced La'el Collins to choose the Cowboys? I do not know which was more instrumental in talking Collins to come here, but I would put my money on Jerry.

And, I didn't see any hints of greatness last year, but like you say, 'Garrett is slowly building this team for greatness.' Like slow as molasses or at a snail's pace.

What Garrett did was put a stop to old, beaten-up veteran band-aids. He wants a younger roster everywhere it can be.

Gregory appears to be trash on and off the field but I agree with the central point of the OP. We've acquired some fantastic talent

we have accumulated loads of top 5-10 talent in the last two drafts without making one trade. Garret is slowly building this team for greatness. These listed below are studs and will be the core of the team in 3-5 years

2014- Byron jones, Randy Gregory, la'el Collins
2015- Ezekiel Elliott, jaylon smith

Garrett is coaching this team, hasn't been bulding it. As for greatness, he has to show he can be competent 1st this year.

I get the OP's main point, but the building for the future mantra bothers me considering Garrett is one of the longest tenured head coaches in the league. The five or six coaches that are more tenured than him have all won super bowls. We should be where Arizona, Carolina, Green Bay are right now - serious contenders.

With health we can be. GB woulda been garbage too had they lost Rodgers along with Jordy. As a matter of fact they weren't anything special this year with Rodgers

JG was instrumental in the Tyron/Frederick/Martin picks. And Collins came here largely because of them.

Its way too early to make a final judgement on Gregory. Everyone applauded this pick last year, now many believe it was a wasted pick. The Cowboys spent a bottom of the 2nd round pick on him, there was no one more talented on the board at that time so I dont fault them for making the pick at all. I get the feeling the dline lacked positive leadership last year and young players like Lawrence and Gregory made some poor decisions because of it. Hopefully Gregory will continue to get the support he needs, but this is where having someone like Ware would have been a tremendous help.

Dream on. Garrett gets the credit for the Frederick pick and Jerry gets the blame for not taking him later in the draft when all the supposed experts thought he would be picked.

I don't know if you were here but Jerry Jones got ripped by many here and in the media for the Frederick pick. Nobody was ripping Garrett for the pick. Garrett may have clapped. Have you ever seen Garrett in the draft war room?

"You need to have young, cornerstone players on your offensive line, and we’ve gone through that process over the last couple of years. I think we’re getting where we need to be." - Jason Garrett

This team wasn't addressing the OL with first round picks prior to JG's arrival, instead opting to let Romo run for his life behind overpaid aging vets.

When JG got here, things changed. It's not a coincidence.
