They will lose Kelce to retirement and Sealmuto to FA. I don't think it will be as effective next season losing an inside guy and your HOF center who gets so low. But who knows.
I swore that Kelce said he coming back for a year. That second round kid that they drafted last year likely move right into RG and they don’t miss a beat.

Its not really fair when the defense has to be in a 3 point stance and they can't get the same leverage or push the offence can in the same situation. its broken, good on the eagles for using it but if all 3rd an 1s or 2s become automatic then the game becomes boring
You don’t have to be in a three-point stance. Bear claw the A gaps with the biggest mofos you can find and go Mano a Mano. I like seeing good old manly contact instead of a flag thrown because someone touched a jersey.

but that's the point there is no mano a mano if one player is getting assisted by other players to be move forward. might as well just start carrying or dragging the ball handler.

The Eagles are abusing this and it is a cheat code, imo. When you can't stop a team from. 3 yards away because the ball carrier is being carried by 3 guys, it is a problem. I am so sick of watching it. The Eagles lose many games if they are not able to do this bull....

They were hard enough to stop in 2017 with their sneaks...now it is ridiculous level.

What type of rules should be put in place to mitigate this football travesty? I am thinking something like, "No more than one player can push a ball carrier on a given play".

Here is an article on it that talks about how the league changed the rule in 2005...

https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2022-12-30/pushing-the-pile-nfl-rule-officiating#:~:text=For decades, NFL rules prohibited, was too difficult to legislate.
It must have changed since 2005.

All teams started doing it in the past 2 or 3 years. Pollard/Zeke have pushed Dak many times the past 2 years, maybe more.

I was just trusting what the article stated.

It is possible something else changed more recently.

Hmm…last time I watched a game, I recall seeing more than down linemen on the defense. No reason why linebackers and D backs can’t brace up and push back behind the D line.

On one play, DL Chris Jones (6-6, 310) was floating on top like he was in a mosh pit.

One issue I have is how defenses are trying to stop it. They are jumping and losing any leverage and ability to push.

Eagles come out low and drive and then have the 2-3 players pushing. They lose every time. Have to meet force with force.

The offensive line has the advantage of knowing the snap count, they get to move forward before the defense can react. They have momentum...

You want them to change rules fast. Get you DL to jump over the pile and land on the OL’s back a few time. That’s how you stop that crap and get it out of the game.
Land on the QBs head.. After all he is a runner
