Then they should ban it again. Teams are all going to do it next year if they don't. It will be horrible to watch.
All teams cant do it lol.
1.Hurts is a big stocky heavy qb with very strong legs, good runner.
2.Eagles OL is very good and strong, they were blowing the chiefs backwards, thats why the eagles can run the ball good.
3. Give the eagles coaches credit for perfecting it , and doing it so much they got good at it.
4. It isnt cheating, they are utilizing the talent they have in an effective manner, and the power sneak is just one area they do this.

Other teams could do this based on the OL they have and who they are playing, and if they could execute it effectively.
So far no other team can do it as well as the eagles, and that is the fault of the other teams coaches.

Disagree.

Sure, they have a good technique but they are literally using three guys to push the qb to first downs.

They averaged 3.6 ypc and that is with Hurts averaging 4.7 They had abound 46 yards and averaged 2.6 ypc when not carried by Hurts.

A qb sneak is hard enough to stop....put three dudes behind him pushing and it becomes near impossible. If the NFL doesn't do something about it this offseason, more teams will do this....why wouldn't they?

The Eagles are abusing this and it is a cheat code, imo. When you can't stop a team from. 3 yards away because the ball carrier is being carried by 3 guys, it is a problem. I am so sick of watching it. The Eagles lose many games if they are not able to do this bull....

They were hard enough to stop in 2017 with their sneaks...now it is ridiculous level.

What type of rules should be put in place to mitigate this football travesty? I am thinking something like, "No more than one player can push a ball carrier on a given play".

Here is an article on it that talks about how the league changed the rule in 2005...

https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2022-12-30/pushing-the-pile-nfl-rule-officiating#:~:text=For decades, NFL rules prohibited, was too difficult to legislate.

lol...How many times did you watch that flag football game the NFL played? Is that what you are rooting for?

If what you propose, what would be the difference to do what the Refrigerator did a few times...member him, you member? Just find a big mofo mean on the defense and let him run it in?

Rules fools...play games as it's meant right now.

Hmm...just for shitz and giggles, would you propose this if this were to happen to our QB to help win the game?
you must say the truth...lying not fun.

Posted on another thread that the scrum
Is known to contribute to serious injuries to the spine etc

League protecting a mere hands to face mask versus how low these lineman get exposing neck and spine should be banned

I would be totally fine with it, obviously, under these rules.

I am the last person to add more rules but the leg drops (there was almost a bad one in the bowl) and this are areas that need legilasting imo. We can do with some of the other horrible rules added to the game but this scrum stuff is breaking the game.

Literally, the Eagles did it about 4 or 5 times on the drive to tie the game late. It is unwatchable imo.

When we run them they get flagged. Hell if the Cowboys start having too much success with biguns carrying Dak for first downs they will either adapt some obscure rule to stop it or make up a new one.
Can;t say I disagree. But...we do seem to be cowardly with our passing game. There's probably a lot of reasons for it....blaming refs seems...unbecoming of a civilized gentleman?

Or, perhaps, the Cowboys can use it too.

I know...I saw the game...shut up! lol
If it's unwatchable...don't watch it?

Answer the initial question...

You want them to change rules fast. Get you DL to jump over the pile and land on the OL’s back a few time. That’s how you stop that crap and get it out of the game.
Bust Hurts in the head every time he sticks it in there.

I like it. Im a big Michigan fan and they started doing this about 3 years ago. Not sure if they began the trend but I thought it was very fun to watch.

I respectfully disagree

I think the main opposition to it is that it is the Eagles that have perfected it. Lets be honest here, if this was the Tennessee Titans pushing Derik Henry forward all game, not that he needs any help but you get my point, I dont think anybody on this board would be pissed about it. That is just keeping it real.

Dont get me wrong, I hate the Eagles with a passion, but lets give them some credit for coming up with a unique play that gives them a competitive advantage, that is what good coaches and teams do, find an exploit they can use to their advantage if the rules allow it.

And my last point, where is it stated that only the Eagles can do this? Last time I checked, any team in the NFL can do this so what is stopping them?

Exactly, and, with how strong Dak is, I hope we implement it into our game plan. Don't like it? Use it better than Philly.

You may get your wish. Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller were talking about it on the radio earlier today and Kirwan claims he spoke to someone in the league about it. Kirwan also claimed it is a very dangerous play and talked about how offensive or defensive linemen can get broken necks if their heads get caught in the wrong positions and both sides of the pile keep pushing against each other. Kirwan claimed it happens in rugby. I have no idea if it's true or not. They claimed the league is going to look at it, but I am not sure how they outlaw it.
Saw a study elsewhere that indicated in rugby it has been responsible for severe spine injuries.

The NFL with all their concerns about dramatic injury should take heed or the will be bringing out the medical team for one of these with a severe injury from what today “ looks creative “
