Year after year they would have $10 million plus cap space setting unused. Did not buy FA's, but more to the point- ans much worse for the team- they refused to use it to re sign their players- letting them go rather then paying them. Tell me what that does to a team. Then they throw all that money at McFlabb. Great move as regards team unity and purpose. Then they mess around and delay and string out re signing Westbrook, their only other legitimate offensive threat. Tell me what that signals from the front office.
It indirectly affected them last year with the whole TO controversy.
You got to ask yourself why would thier locker-room be divided?
It's because the front office has tried to treat every player the same as far as salary issues and will not bend at all when it comes to that.
Their are players in that locker-room who know or will know soon what they will have to deal with when thier contracts are ending, and some of them like Trotter know first hand what to expect.
They sympathized with TO last year(contract issues) and knew that losing a talent like TO was a big loss no matter what the headaches were with him on the team.
There is a reason McNabb is always smiling...he has been take care of.
