Lol, I was watching the game with a group of close friends (A Packers fan included) and they were all getting a kick out of my criticism of the Cowboys. Some people think being a fan means you root and support no matter what. I think being a fan means you have the right to criticize the way they are run. Lol, let's just say that Jerry and Son give you alot of ammo
I never used to be that critical of the Cowboys when I was young. Even when we lost those 3 NFCCG's in the 80's I held fast in my support of Danny White. These Cowboys of the 21st century have exhausted me because it doesn't matter who the players are. In the playoffs they all play the same. They choke. They either lose in unbelievable fashion or they don't bother to even show up.

the only thing FUN about the losses, is watching the delusional fans accept 1 of 2 roads, they either stay hype boys, or come to the side of reality.

other than that, nothing.
We'll be called Haters or closeted Eagle fans again next summer and the cycle will just continue. I honestly don't know how some fans keep buying what Jerry sells season after season.

Yep he has to go.

It would be beyond foolish to keep him.

We’ve seen what McCarthy can do and it’s time to change.
Yes we need to bring in someone over 70 years old with a losing record. Right?

Lol.

For the past few years, the losses don't have a detrimental impact on me like in years past.
This team/organization has conditioned me to no have overly high expectations so I take every win and loss in stride. They either deserve to win or they deserve to lose.
They haven't done anything of note in almost 30 years so it does me no good to get worked up or depressed on the outcomes.
I went into this game having high hopes they may have turned the corner but I was still a realist in knowing they could easily lose this game and they did.
Exactly right! I'm numb to it at this point.

What's even scarier than not getting that mad anymore is that I am starting to feel bored with it all because I keep watching the same movie over and over again.

I woke up to this this morning and laughed my butt off.
This franchise is the butt of jokes.

I’m not a SB or bust fan and I expected the cowboys to lose just not against GB

I got a slither of hope when we got the 2 seed but looking at the make up of this team I just realistically didn’t expect anything beyond a divisional playoff win

I enjoyed the ride and this season’s ride is over. I slept like a baby

The last season ending loss that actually "hurt" was the Week 17 debacle vs Washington in 2012. Never again.

Having a favorite team kicks the emotional attachment level up but I too realized some years back this organization needs to prove it to me before I believe in them again. Just being a football fan allows you to enjoy good football and emerging stars all over the league. Since so much of the "dirty" plays have been taken out of the game, there aren't teams that are just despised like it was when I was a kid.

Just woke up. You're right. I'm fine. Doesn't hurt anymore. 20 years ago I would be calling in sick to work

I was fully prepared for another Cowboys/Dak choke job. Wasn't surprised at all.

Same old story for 28 years.

While I agree, Mac is just a symptom.
We need to cure the illness.
We have an incompetent leader.
Until that addressed, I don't know Lombardi could gave success here.

I wasn’t sure if my emotional detachment to Dallas losing was due to going through years of the experience or if I was just maturing.

They normally don't bother me much anymore, but this one did. I told my wife this morning and I even posted it on a thread....I woke up with a funny feeling about this one. She asked. What do you mean.....I told, I mean we're going to lose. Had a bad feeling going in and it just got worse.
It was all based on a "funny feeling"? Did the last 27 yeara (or whatever it is) have anything to do with it at all?
