I was as hard as anybody on Garret. I wanted him fired after last year. But I have no trouble giving him his props this year. He is as responsible as anybody for this teams success so far. Hopefully he can keep the players grounded and focused and he can keep this thing going.

Hey i'm with you. I understand last year. I didn't want him quite fired YET. This year would've been my last straw. The only reason I Gave him the benefit of the doubt was the fact that he still had his players playing hard for him. It didn't make sense to me. Why these bunch of guys continued to play hard for Garrett despite his errors and flaws. But there was no argument for him last year. The guy was the definition of mediocrity. And while everyone laughed at his whole "process" during pressers, its all coming to fruition. He deserves credit.

Tony was asked this in the post game presser and he almost looked embarrassed saying how much better he is now then he was in 2007.

To me the main difference between this team and 2007 is that this team can travel anywhere and win. The 2007 team was more spectacular and more of a big play offense, but this team will grind you into the ground. Put a bunch of guys in the box and you will get burned outside. The 2007 team was very good, but they were one dimensional. This team is much more of a headache for defensive coordinators to figure out who you want tostop. And no Prima Donnas on this team. Nobody whining about Jason Witten getting too many passes.

That team was one-dimensional because Garrett, the coordinator made it that. The lethal combination of Romo's sub-par game management, Jacques Reeves at corner and the abandonment of the running game in the second-half doomed that team in the 2007 divisional playoff game. One of the greatest seasons in Dallas history to end in a frigging dud...

After four years of him being a literal clown, I won't say this about Garrett. Him losing influence to Callahan and Marinelli is what has caused this turn around

.......This is my response to your post. Just give the guy credit where its due. Garrett had a vision and he's been able to fulfill it this year.

I don't understand it man lol. People will do or say whatever it takes in order for Garrett to not get any credit for this. Its not even that he deserves sole credit. Its a collective effort. But its like everyone acts as if the Cowboys or Garrett are the only team with a Head coach and assistant coaches lol. Like Bellicheat doesn't have a staff around him. Like Parcells didn't. Bill Parcells had arguably one of the best coaching staffs around him at his time here.

Exactly. I was very down on Garrett and thought he should have already been fired. But so far this year after finally handing over all play calling and OC duties, he seems much better. I never thought a HC should be calling plays for defense or offense but that's just me. You have to give him credit for this season so far. How much is up to whom you ask but he gets some. As do a lot of others.

I am glad Jerry is not jumping the gun and doing extensions right now. Because in the end, it's about success in the playoffs. Especially now at 6-1, no way the goal is to just sneak in and be happy with a spot.

I don't buy the "vision" and the "3 year plan" BS. He's a great motivator, and he's in the position he should be in. It certainly doesn't look like this was part of the process or the plan.
