I really hate to say this but....Dallas matches up TERRIBLY against the Saints and in my opinion, the game is more likely to be over by halftime than it will be a close game. Hopefully I'm wrong but I never am. Will be rooting them on as always but I am not feeling good about this one......at all.
I've been joking with the Chief fans I work with that now I know how they feel on game day.

On NFL.com, there's a video exchange between Brad Sham and the Saints announcer, and the Saints guy is pointing out that early in the season they got all those touchdowns on returns by their defense. Those have dried up latetly, and that's the main reason their games have been closer lately.

So while they have a great offense, if we don't give them the ball, we may be able to keep up with them on the scoreboard. The key to me is that our O has to show up, unlike against the Chargers (or Skins or Packers).

This game is 100% on the offense. They need to score 27 or more points to have a shot. The Saints will get theirs offensively - they are too good not to.

The Cowboys need to do a couple of things - get Felix Jones to the perimeter against the slower Saint OLBs and get Austin over the top of the corners to threaten Roman Harper and Darren Sharper. If they can do these things, they can work the Saint D a bit.

You nailed it though - the Saints need to earn this, and not be given a cheapie or a short field to work with.

Been watching replay all day every Saints game the past 3 weeks. They are a very lucky team, dunno why everyone thinks they are gonna route us.

If a Chris Redman-led Atlanta team can take them down to the wire, we certainly can.

This would be a good game to play Williams over Brady but we know that won't happen...

Watched a little Saints football last night and this morning. I'm not concerned about our offense.

Our pass defense rating and there their pass offense rating has me concerned.

That and their habit of winning games at the and compared to our habit of losing games at the end.

I believe our pass rush has to win the game for us.

I hope it's close, but unlike Indy, NO is at home. And when they are not overlooking a team (which no chance they'll be doing vs the Dallas Cowboys on primetime Saturday night) they have smoked everyone.

I do agree that for sure Wade is very aware of what they'll do, but can we actually stop it? Peyton's boys carved up Parcells' crew last time, but I do think this group will be better prepared...though the folks on autopilot, robotic, hate-Wade mode will surely disagree. :)

I can't sanely pick us to win, but if the stars align, we have a shot.

Colts and Saints have had very closes game all season, but they figure out a way to win the game. Something about figuring a way to win. It is almost like that have plan if we are in close game, we just need to do xyz. Unreal what both have manage to accomplish this year.

That being said, we need to figure out the formula to figure out a way to win. It means we need to figure how to close the deal so to speak. We are not closers, that is what we need to figure out how to do tonight.

All Wade Phillips has figured out is if you slap the side of the snack machine when you put in your quarters, it will hiccup two packages of Ho-hos.

I guess we can include this year's Pats and Steelers into that non-closer group as well.
FWIW, I do think we closed well vs Washington at home. FWIW.

Reminds me of an old Letterman episode where he could just notget any laughs from anything new or creative, so he would raise up his old stand-by...a thick piece of rope, then say "Leon Spinks dental floss!" and everyone would laugh.

The Wade is overweight and has a often has doofy look on his face must = Wade is now somehow not smart....combined with the good old fashioned fat boy joke always seems to get 'em.! :p:

I think people should disabuse themselves of the notion that this game will be over before Halftime.

Folks, I believe the main reason why you start seeing undefeated teams late in the season have so many close games is because Coordinator around the league have "figured you out" and since those teams are undefeated, they began to get everyone's "best shot". All it takes is for one team to come up with a formula to slow an undefeated team down and every Coaching Staff in the league will mimic that formula.

You also have to realize that the Dallas Cowboys have been in every single game this season.

I'm certain that Wade Phillips has looked at a ton of film on the Saints, especially those games that were really close.

I have this feeling that this game is going to be very close, much like the Thursday Nigh Game between the Colts and Jaguars.

Won't be able to post much today, just thought I would share that :D .

Well Wade can certainly help temporarilly shut up his critics like myself.

If we come out and play ball with minimal mistakes combined with good gamplans on both sides of the ball, we can win.

I thought they did that for the most part vs SD...but seeing that no team has ever played the perfect game and it was obviously not good enough to win, they can do better for sure.
