The mission, should you accept it

Cut Cooper, keep DLAW
Resign Gregory

24) Tyler Linderbaum C Iowa
56) Jalen Wydermyer TE Texas A&M
100) Isiah Thomas DE Oklahoma
127) Thayer Munford G Ohio State
141) Christian Watson WR North Dakota St
142) Terrel Bernard LB Baylor
166) Tyler Badie RB Missouri
168) Jordan Williams DT Virigian Tech
245) Spencer Buford OT UTSA

Made two trade backs, figured more picks the better with what we lose to FA this year. Would love if Linderbaum fell to 24, doubt it though. Dont love how the draft went in my simulation, but like the upside of a lot of these guys. Wydermyer in the 2nd gets a Schutz replacement who should be able to step right in and contribute in the receiving game. Thomas wasnt my target, but has the physical traits to be a top pass rusher in the league, to get that at 100 is tough to pass up.

If you push 54 mil into future years you can't burn it down. You end up with a ton of contracts like Zekes where cutting them saves nothing. You can't start over. You can't even get under the cap in 2023. Try it yourself. Make the changes you have suggested and see what it does.

Looks like if you do what I have said, it puts you short for next year about 40M but you can restructure then again next year, or next year cut Zeke, DLaw, and Coop.......and you would have 20M in dead money, but saved 46M off the cap and would be right back in the game.

More funny numbers that can be moved around as needed.

It leaves you short about 40 mil before factoring in the Von Miller signing
and these
Sign Armstrong (8) , Kearse (5), Anger (1.5), Watkins (3), McQuaide (1 (unless these are all 1 year deals)

Then you need to factor in this years draft picks in year 2.

as far as cutting Dlaw or Coop in 2023 after restructuring them in 2022 it wouldn't be possible because there would be no cap relief to be found

plus you have another list of F.A's to be signed and 2023 draft class to be factored in.

If they do what you are advocating they would have 80% of the cap tied up in 8 players.
