Yes it was the preseason game against the Rams and I remember it too. It was one hell of a throw, but that wasn't it all by itself. The fact was, Dak looked like a turd in TC. He was horrible at practice but he outperformed during game time. That was the reason Jerry knew he had a winner.

I mean he can’t really especially after reading Romo’s statement. Romo said he had to retire because his back was too messed up to play. Makes you wonder was there ever an intent to bring him back in.

Same thing happened at Miss State, the starting QB got injured and Dak took over and never looked back.

Dak took advantage of the opportunities that presented themselves. They say you cant lose your job to injury, but it happens all the time in both college and the NFL. If you get hurt and the next man up is just as good or better than you, them the breaks.

I realized we were in trouble when I saw the offense that Scott Linehan, and Kellen Moore developed for Dak to run.
It worked flawlessly, because we had a stout offensive line and a young rookie running back who couldn't be stopped.
