You can't put a price on good pizza and cold beer.....oh wait, I guess you can.

The people that are in these million dollar suites would probably be more upset it they had to pay $15 for a pizza. Their $90 pizza will clearly be far more superior to what the common man is eating in the troughs of the cheap seats.

Why don't we all fly to Italy eat pizza and watch the game on TV. It would be cheaper...

For $800,000 per year you could build your own Bar and sattelite in the games with free beer and pizza.

And get your own jumbo tron to watch it on.

If you have enough money to rent a luxury suite...somehow I don't think you won't be able to afford the pizza.:laugh2:

$66 for a 12 pack??? Truly disturbing.

Thats actually cheap when you consider a single beer in Yankee stadium is $9.75 !!!

$66 for a 12 pack comes out to like $5.50 a beer...

The colossal new Dallas Cowboys Stadium is living proof that everything is bigger in Texas. The menu in the luxury suites proves that things there are more expensive too.

Those enjoying a Cowboys game from a luxury suite at the new stadium will have to shell out $90 for pizza and $66 for a 12-pack of domestic beer, reports Steven Sipple of the Lincoln Journal World. Ninety bucks for pizza? That's almost as much of a rip-off as Roy Williams.

It costs $800,000 per year to lease one of those luxury suites, a hefty sum that doesn't include game tickets. On the bright side, the stadium's official Web site says that "having your company's name on a suite makes an important statement about your success" and can help make an impression on clients. (Namely that they're paying you way too much money.)

As for the $90 pizza, that's the cost for a plain pizza. No word on how much each topping costs but, suffice it to say, if you're a fan of pepperoni you may want to consider refinancing your mortgage before you head down to watch the Cowboys.

Thanks, The Sporting Blog

Jerry is going to get the same rude awakening that the Yankees got when they tried to way over charge for everything. F Jerry

My father has a luxury box at our local Times Union Center in Albany and it is actually cheaper to puchase food and beer if you are in one of the suites. Much cheaper. The thing about this pizza is that it is probably terrible.

That's actually not that much considering it works out to $5.50 per beer. That's about what you pay at a stadium now.

Heck, RFK was charging $4.50 for a bottle of WATER when I was there 16 years ago, so $5.50 for a beer isn't all that bad when you look at it in that context.

The $90 pizza is a different matter though. If a large pizza is cut into 8 slices than it comes out to $11.25 per slice. That's pretty steep IMO, especially for a plain pizza.

I guess when you break it down it isn't as bad, comparably.

I know that I paid over 10 bucks per at a Motley Crue concert last year.

Ehh you edited: It's 8 bucks per at FedEx now.

If a person is willing to dish out $800,000.00 for the suite to watch the game, I doubt that person would be pissed off about $90. That's how I see it.

Exactly. The folks who are in these things aren't sweating 90 dollars. 90 dollars to them is like 9 dollars for us regular folks. It's a status thing being in those suites, rubbing elbows, and wine and dining your clients and such. They're not worried, in the least, about those prices.

And the crying about 66 dollars for a 12 pack...why? The beers in these places, and other venues, are anything from 7-9.50 a bottle. When you average that out over the 12 beers you're paying less per beer than you would be if you were buying them individually.

Uber wealthy or not...$90 bucks for a pizza and $66 bucks for a six pack of beer is ********! Even if i was a trillionaire, I would not pay that for pizza and beer!
Heck with what those suites cost...the food should be free.

if you were a trillionaire, you wouldn't know what you spend. that's what super rich people have financiers and accountants for.

1 slice of pizza here at Turner Field in Atlanta is $6.50...

so about a $5 premium on each slice for the luxury box crowd is not that astronomical when you think about it.

I wouldn't hold a whole lot of credence in what some yokel from HuskerExtra.com reports if I were y'all.

Not right now. The Yankees learned that the hard way with the economy. And I'm not sure the Yankees or the Cowboys will get those filled for quite some time.

I doubt that I would be taking financial advisors and accountants to Football games though, and I would still think it was too high..lol.

The pizza doesn't cost $90, it costs $60. That's the same price as it was in the luxury suites at old Texas Stadium.

Still outrageous, but it seems about right, considering the markup on other food.

The mystery of the $90 pizza

Pricing at Cowboys Stadium is pretty high, we know that. But just to be clear, there is not a $90 pizza.

That little nugget seems to have caused a buzz, but it's, well, wrong. And the suites aren't $800,000. And then there's this little deal that was mentioned to me the other day - that cabs would be charged $25 to drop people off. Again, not true, from what I was told.

Now, people in suites can get a $60 pizza. It's 20 inches. There are cheese, pepperoni, chicken and artichoke, meat and margherita options. Toppings included. And it's the same price they had last year at Texas Stadium.

Pardon me while I go eat my homemade sandwich in between practices.
