Still not enough but next year they will sign one mid tier FA shut down spending for anymore, then draft OT in the first with maybe a CB or LBer in the first three rounds.

It's like the Jerry marketing team worked real hard to sell the worst LB tandem in team history. Dipped them in chocolate to make it palatable. Truth was they set the standard for sucking.

Why would Hookers snaps be significantly reduced?
He's the only pure free safety.
The whole point of Downs and Thompson was that they're interchangeable and they can disguise who is playing nickel and strong between the two.
Seems counter productive to go out of the way to acquire the players to play a 3 safety base and then not play a 3 safety base!
