The next 3 years depends on our offense

The defense is years away from becoming anything more than below average and while the offense is above average it's time that it is elite.. I am a Garrett supporter but if he can't get this offense to be elite it's time for him to go.. It doesn't make any sense that other coaches and teams are able to get the most of average players and we have games consistently where we only throw Dez Bryant the ball 2 or 3 times for the entire game.

For the Cowboys to have any hope of being a contender in the near future the offense is going to have to step up and be something more than "pretty good" and it all starts with maximizing the talent that we do have.. It seems this year has been focused WAY too much on taking what the defense is giving you rather than imposing your will on the defense.. The way Dez has been used has been a complete joke and whether you like it or not he is going to get extended for big money and then this kind of stuff will be even more upsetting.

Romo has a hand in this as well as much as I support him he has the final say in where the ball goes and can make adjustments as he pleases and there is a time where he is going to need to trust Dez and give him some more opportunities.

The plays that Calvin Johnson made against us, Alshon Jeffrey, Brandon Marshall, and even Andre Holmes made against us don't happen here because unless the Cowboys are on the 3 yard line our best offensive player really never gets a chance to do what he does best and that is elevate for the ball in a contested circumstance and make a big play.

I can't even remember a game or let alone a possession where I said wow things went sour because Tony is trying too hard to force Dez the ball.. IDK if it is scheme or coaching or Romo but whatever it is needs to be corrected.

All in all I still believe the pieces are in place to be a dynamic offense but for a multitude of reasons it hasn't happened and while the defense is clearly terrible the offense is getting away with being very average at times and will need to be much more than that going forward if this team is going to accomplish anything at all

I agree it's on the offense. Defense lacks talent and depth and a good scheme.

Our offensive scheme sucks. We can't get dez the ball. 6 target 3 catches 22 yards for witten and dez combined. Freaking ridiculous. Romo is trying to protect the ball, he doesn't give dez enough chances DOWN THE FIELD.

Dez Bryant - 2 catches for 12 yards. Color me skeptical and disgusted.

I think they can draft D lineman and get some guys back and get the ship righted on that side of the ball. Much like they did with the O-Line this year. It is doable.

A year of experience for Wilcox and Heath, Crawford back, another year for Mo to put on some more muscle, etc....

I would doubt there is another team in the league that has had their D crushed by more injuries than we have.

We need to get better on D. If you can't get one defensive stop in a game you are not going to win.

Is that the stat line ? Against the bears awful defense ?

Even if you have complaints about the scheme or playbook - that stat line goes beyond scheme and playbook. The pass protection was ok so either Bryant or Romo had to play bad (or both).

I mean, there are only so many routes that a wr can run - and no matter what play is called or what route Dez is running, Dez should be able to beat coverage more than twice against this bears secondary.
