National JC Champion at Blinn
NCAA Champion at Auburn
Heisman winner
NFL MVP
Superbowl QB
Second all time leading rushing for a QB

So who compares to that?
Currently not in the NFL.

Pretty impressive!
He's had an accomplished career.

However, he would be the first to say that he's missing the top honor of any QB---that is to lead his team to a Super Bowl win....and maybe get Super Bowl MVP in the process.

His passing was rarely top half of the league but his rushing TDs in the redzone were hard to stop.

He won't make the Hall of Fame, but that one year where he got MVP will forever be a nice feather in his cap.
He probably does crack the top 75 QBs of all time

I see it the same way, top 75ish all time which ain't bad considering how many QB's we have seen.

What QB has ever won two national champions while in college?

What QB won a Heisman and an NFL MVP and QBed a SB team. well?
I’m not arguing he wasn’t a good QB. Just saying he ain’t anymore.

No idea but let me ask you this, if he’s so good, why isn’t he playing?

Not about you have no idea, it's about nobody else has done what he did. He has done things never seen before.

He is 32 years old and has always been a runner, a serious runner, apparently all those collisions have taken their toll. The guy has 70 rushing TD's.

The guy is special, and you can't see that, wow!

It’s the hats. Hated the hats. :D I’ll give you that he was special. He was. Just isn’t anymore. Brady’s 44 and playing as if he was 24.

You are comparing a classic pocket passer to one of the ultimate runner/passer in NFL history, really? Totally different deal.

This ain't Tom Brady

You are calling a one year wonder an ultimate runner/passer? One who, BTW, happens to be a terrible passer.

KJ Jefferson was that last week. Last night, he improved but his career isn't going to mimic Newton's.

Newton is not playing now but that doesn't mean he doesn't get another shot. We're only one game into the season.

If Prescott goes down, if Newton is available, you think Jones isn't kicking his tires? And that's all about the name and media coverage that would bring.
