He was not a great passer. Not sure of what your point is. That if you have a great D your QB doesn't have to be great?

Don't know what that means.
Newton sucks as a passer. As soon as the injuries started hitting, he was done. Hasn't been good in years.

I see more Tebow in KJ Jefferson than Newton. Typical running//battery ram college QB. Newton was an athletic freak with his size/speed...leading an Auburn team that didn't have a ton of NFL talent to an undefeated season and championship is still the most impressive thing I've seen in college football in the 2000s.
