antonio bryant drove the same stupid looking car.

I remember him pulling up in the players parking lot in the preseason of 04 and thinking grow up.

he had big huge dice hanging from the windows on his and his was brown.
Does it really bother you that much what a person does in his personal life, what he drives, eats, wears, sounds like?

All we need this guy to do is catch touch downs and stay on the field. Staying on the field means, not getting into trouble, etc...

The day we start losing sleep over the differences of people is the day we need to get a life.

for probably half of my life my dream car has been an impala, the year changes but I like them for some reason.

nothing newer than a 96 though. and none of those boxy 80's ones.

Damn it, I am going to go look online for an impala for sale around me.

Chris Johnson wouldn't be a 2000 yard rusher on the Cowboys. He would be part of a three back system. End of discussion...

No, no it doesn't. But it also doesn't require a lot of effort to see that car and come to a logical conclusion within a few seconds that the driver is more than likely ********. Doesn't bother me in the least bit.

Yes, because the car he drives is all you need to know about how a guy can help your football team.

This entire thread is slathered in weaksauce.

oh and bad example about bryant staying on the field and not getting into trouble.

next time you mght want to think before responding.

I'm sorry, I'm lost. Are you guys talking still about Chris Johnson?

If so, why wouldn't he think he's the ****?

On the field, he is.

Well, granted I don't follow the Titans that closely. However, before the season started he came out and said he didn't want to be known as a tandem with Lendale White. No more Bash and Slash. He wanted to be the feature back and gave himself his own nickname. Granted White isn't necessarily the best back out there, but they made a really good one two punch in 2008. Right there that told me he wasn't the best team player.

So, they switch to Chris Johnson as the main back, and he almost breaks the record in yards. Cool, but White's carries fall and the Titan's offense sputters at the beginning of the season until Vince Young takes over.

In both Titans games I watched this season, I studied him. They were both after Young had taken over and it was still possible for them to make the playoffs, so they were playing for something. The dude does not pass block. He doesn't even try. I know he's small, but I'd like to see some effort at least. He just stands in front of the guy and then let's him go. There was one instance where the Titans had 4th and 1, he took a swing around the right corner, had two guys on him head to head. If he had dove and bulled through it, it was almost certainly a first down. He duck out of bounds.

Yeah, he had great numbers this year. But I think the team suffered for it.

A running back's car does not a running back make. May I remind you that Julius Jones had the sexiest Ferrari I've ever seen in my life. How'd that work out for him? Anybody got a pic of it?

Re: White's carries going down. I watch/follow enough Titans games to know that he's solely responsible for his lack of impact on the field. He's soft as pudding...literally. He didn't deserve anymore than what he got. Whether CJ wanted to play as a tandem or be named as part of a tandem is irrelevant.

CJ didn't deserve to be taken off the field anymore than he did and white didn't deserve to be ON the field anymore than he was.

Two games is not enough of an example to truly base an opinion, but I understand if that's all you had to go by. That said, while you can can question his effort beyond running, his running ability more than makes up for it when you're on a run heavy team like the Titans.

:lmao2: Now that's funny.
CJ is a card for sure. A nice guy, but still a card.

However, on the playing field...this is not even a conversation.
CJ>>>Felix.

I heard someone say CJ does not pass block. Compared to your average top-end RB, he is better than average at pass-blocking. His coaches even think he's very good at it. So that person may want to reconsider that line of attack.

The biggest difference between the players is the opportunity they've been given. Felix has been more productive with the carries he has gotten, he just hasn't gotten the same opportunity here that Johnson has gotten in Tennessee. And if they had been drafted by the opposite teams, Johnson would be underused here, and Felix likely would be putting up huge numbers for the Titans.

I like Felix a lot and can't wait for him to get his reps.

But if CJ was in Dallas, they would not be able to keep him from getting his carries. He's way to good to hold back. Also, it is not applicable to compare a 1/3 to 1/2 workload ypc average vs an over the top workload ypc average. Total apples and oranges. The guy getting carries in all of the situations is not the same as the guy getting them in the ideal situation for his skill set. That's cherry-picking.

But again, I'm looking forward to Felix having his day. He's very exciting to watch.

Very well. Like I said, I'm only making judgements on what I've seen. I'll take your word that Lendale's lack of playing time was based on his own play. And CJ's running ability does not completely make up for his soft running, in my opinion. If I'm a running based team, I want a back that I know is going to get the inch when I have to have the inch.

That being said, when given the option of Felix vs Chris Johnson, I'll take Felix. Yeah, I might lose some spectacular plays, but their yards per carry is nearly identical. I know Felix will fight and sacrifice himself for the must have yard and I know he does not mind how many carries he gets. Plus, I know each of our backs prides themselves on pass blocking. John Gruden ran a clinic based on our back's pass blocking when he was coach of the Bucs.

The Smash and Dash breakup stuff with CJ and LenDale White was very tongue-in-cheek. The guy is a goofball and he and White are very close friends. It was mostly in good fun, but some in the media didn't know that. They do now and it's old news. Again, CJ is a bit quirky, but by all counts a very nice guy and a super hard worker.

You may want to watch a few more Titans games, Mike. Johnson is a pretty tough runner. Maybe he ducked out of bounds on a play that you saw but he has surprised all of us by how tough he has been and there are numerous highlights showing him lowering his shoulder and laying the wood to people.

I do agree that having Young in there helped him some and do think his work load was too heavy. Even if the dude does bench 375, they can't run a 200 lb back that many times for too many years and not expect him to break down. I think the rookie they got last year out of Michigan St (Javon Ringer) will chip in some this season.

Also, you may want to look at old tape of Emmitt--who ranout of bounds more than any player I can ever recall...yet he was amazing.

It's all really moot anyway....Felix is great and I'm happy he's a Cowboy.

They suffered? do you have any idea where the team would be without him? Lendale White didn't even deserve the number of carries he has to begin with.

Unlike the originator of this post, I am all for individuality, and self expression. I also dont mind a little flash and flare as long as its backed by substance and or performance. I dont even think Mr. Johnsons car should even come in the discussion of whether we should have drafted him of Felix (i know the original poster doesnt think so either).........................

With that said....That vehicle is "Hot Garbage." Why do fools spend money to look bad. Im all for a classic, but at least make it look "classic". <chosen shakes his head at these young ones today>
