The NFC East- Right now the big least

I figure this can be an on going thread in this section.

Through 2 weeks the NFCE has 2 total wins, both against NFC East teams

Cowboys- 1-1
Eagles- 1-1
Giants- 0-2
Commanders- 0-2

Thus far the Cowboys are at the top, but many of the issues you guys have been bothered by (red zone offense in particular) are surfacing. A potential win today slipped away. Right now the Cowboys are playing better then mediocre but not good to great football

The Eagles had a great debut with Kelly in DC, but today the Chargers showed how that team will be slowed down, how weak the Eagles D is, and the fact that this is at best a .500 team

The Giants started the season with a debacle of a performance, 6 turnovers sinked them on opening night and got worked by the Broncos today. There are issues with injuries and the backfield right now, and Eli hasn't looked good at all. However, anytime you count out the Giants, they somehow turn it around. So I won't bury them but its been a bad start

The Commanders thus far have appeared to be outcoached, out manned and out played. 2 blowouts where the score looked better then the actual game played, where stats were racked up in the second half after falling behind by 26 and 31. RG3 simply doesn't look good thus far.

2 weeks in, only 2 total wins, and some bad losses. It looks like 9-7 could win this division right now

It's going to be like last year. Going to be the team that wants to lose the least. Because none of them will be proactive in actually going out and winning the division. Get ready for another last week, winner takes all. 9-7 will win this. Maybe even 8-8.

Playing the AFC West doesn't help either

Denver, KC and SD are all tough matchups for all 4 teams in the division. I don't see any team right now beating Denver from the NFCE

I can see the Commanders offense improving as the season goes on, but the defense is a lost cause. Kerrigan and Rak are the best parts of it, but everyone else is playing horribly. Fletcher looks like he should've followed his first instinct and retired, he has zero lateral movement. Haslett should be fired for fielding statistically the worst defense in the league.

Whatever. Dallas is in first place in a weak sauce Division and just played a team that will be in the playoff hunt at their house. Winning the worst Division in football is still rewarded with a home playoff game. I figured 9-7 was the order of things, so 1-1 is about par for the course.

Hello. I'm an Eagles fan from Pennsylvania. I hope that, along with all of the Cowboys fans, that there are Giants fans, Commanders fans, and other Eagles fans here to talk about this really bad division. I don't remember it being this bad before.
So far, the Eagles offense has been truly amazing. It has been said that the ONLY thing that can stop the Eagles offense is the Eagles defense.

Tonight they play the Andy Reid Chiefs.

wow that is like being happy for finishing 3rd when there are only 4 competitors.

The NFC East has been on the decline for a few years, I dont get why people haven't recognized that.

Having said that, I think the NFC East is still better than the AFC South, East, and North.

Future - I disagree with you on the AFC South. Houston and Indianapolis are good while Tennessee MIGHT be mediocre. Only Jacksonville is hideous.
They're off to a slow start but Baltimore did win the Super Bowl and Cincinnati might be better than any NFC East team.

Eh, fair enough. I don't believe in any of those teams this year.

Panthers 38 - Giants 0 - Oh my goodness. What the heck happened to them?
Lions 27 - Commanders 20 - Maybe the Skins really do stink.

Eagles @ Broncos - The Eagles will almost certainly lose this game.
Giants @ Chiefs - I still can't believe that the Chiefs are that good and that the Giants are that bad.
Commanders @ Raiders - I have no idea who will win this game.
Cowboys @ Chargers - IF the Cowboys are a good team, they will win this game.

The Giants game was so laughable, it took some of the sting out of the Detroit game. That game came down to three things: Griffin's inability to slide, Robinson dropping a perfect TD pass, and the defense's complete inability to tackle anyone--they couldn't tackle a corpse right now.

But man, 8-8 might win this division. The Skins are not good, the Giants are horrid (they are going to be bad for a while--little cap space, no ability to steal more, aging team), the Eagles will fade--there is no way they can keep up that pace of offense. People keep saying that Griffin will get hurt again if he continues to be reckless, well, McCoy is begging to be injured at this pace (he already has an ankle injury). Right now, the Cowboys look like the best team in the division--but we know what happens with them down the stretch.

The Eagles MIGHT fade but their schedule does get "easier" after this week. We'll see.
