Donovan Wilson is a great example of a good player who has developed here that too many people here over-value. He’s good. But he’s not great. Keeping him here either tagged or on a market deal would be foolish in my book because finding someone who replaces what he gives us won’t be that hard.

If you franchise pollard, how much of the cap goes to him and Zeke next season combined

People also forget that Kearse came to prominence because Wilson couldn't stay heathy, which has been a knock on him. He got injured against the Bucs Game 1 last season and Kearse stepped in and never looked back.

We have a ton of people on this forum who still believe Tyron Smith is worth keeping at what we are paying him. Even though he’s missed 44 games in 6 years. I totally respect Ty Smith but keeping him around here as a part time occasional player at market price is insane and one of the reasons we continue to struggle building a serious contender.

We need to get some salvage value out of his contract in a trade.

Tony or Wilson.

They’ll try to get a long term deal done with DW and I suspect they use the tag on him if they can’t sign him before March.

If DW gets signed, look for Tony to get tagged.
And the winner is ... Not-so-money Maher, not because he's the best choice but because he's the cheapest.

... Actually, I expect it to be Pollard if we can't get a long-term deal worked out. His injury should make that easier to accomplish, though, so it could be Wilson. I just don't think we want to pay that much for a safety.

Looks like they drafting a RB early and elevating Ferguson.
If Pollard doesn't have permanent damage he's totally worth the 10mil. I'd pay more, but now don't have to.

We *did* pay more for Schulz. And Gallup. And Zeke. Ugh.

Worse, we'll pay more for Gallup *again* next year.

Franchise for RB is $10 million. Can someone tell me what drug Jerry was on when he gave Zeke $15 million per year?

His drug is delusion. He still believes he is a capable “football guy”. Equally bad- he believes his son - who qualified for his job when Dad bought the team- is also a “football guy”.
