Fabricated CTE scare? Dude people are killing themselves. The science is real and measurable.

Also the dearth of college qb scare always makes me laugh.

Last year we added Jameis and Marcus. Both look like keepers.

2014: Blake, Carr and Teddy

2013: admittedly not a great year.

2012: Luck, Tannehill, Osweilier, Wilson

2011: Cam and Dalton (even Tyrod)

That's 12 potential above average to great qbs drafted just in the last 5 years.

The facts simply don't fit your narrative here either.

And finally when it comes to the lack of practice time... We're losing less high level starters to injury in season during practice time and the top teams all appear to be well coached and performing well. If anything there is a lack of coaching talent that has nothing to do with how often guys get to hit each other in Tuesday.

In short I disagree with you wholeheartedly.

None of those quarterbacks are that impressive, and certainly not headed for the class of Brady, Peyton, Brees, Romo, Rodgers, or Roethlisberger. Cam is a one-time different 250-pound cat, but he's far from polished and is taking advantage of an easy schedule. Maybe Carr. Luck is wildly overrated and the beneficiary of today's rules.

And when I say partially fabricated in terms of CTE, the VAST MAJORITY of former players are not having issues. Just about ALL 50+ year old people experience gradual cognitive decline. It really pissed me off when they talked about the CTE in the brain of Frank Gifford, who was 85 years old, for crying out loud.

Sorry I don't deal in hypothetical alternative realities.

The fact of the matter is the assertion was that the college game was not producing passers capable of laying in today's NFL. That's simply not true. It's. Not. True.

"Potential" is a form of hypothetical. No one said QBs coming out of college couldn't "play". Obviously 30+ QBs, all who went to college, "play" every week. How well they play, even with a massive amount of help relative to times past, is another matter.

They look really uncomfortable under center, and even moreso looking to a second or third read. They look at the primary receiver, run to the outside, then try to find a receiver freelancing in space.

They don't pre-read the defense or understand coverages. I know that takes experience, but once upon a time they did this at a college level to a degree prior to pro football. These days in college, throws are virtually predetermined like long handoffs.

Now, they're teaching quarterbacks how to take snaps from center and how to do a 3-, 5-, and 7-step drop. They've literally never done this before in their lives.

I don't know. After watching Holly Holm beat up Ronda Rousey, I would say that is very debatable. :)

It should be easy enough to answer that question.

Can't we get a few top boxers, some punchers, some tacticians vs a bunch of pure MMA guys. Grapplers and submitters .

I guess the gloves would be problematic but it would be a helluva card.

for me its the decline of not only the nfl but the dallas cowboys as well this team as far as super bowls have not been relevant the last 20 years that is due to lots of things just kinda tired of thinking and saying next year this team Is so far away from competing for a super bowl on a year to year basis as this season has shown.
