Clearly, the Cowboys will not be in the big game this year, so I thought it might be interesting to note the teams Cowboys fans would most want to see in the Super Bowl.

For me, in no particular order, based on their team histories, players and coaches I admire and current story lines, this post season I’ll be rooting for:
  • Minnesota Vikings…..appeared in 4 Super Bowls in the 70’s (1970, 1974, 1975, 1977), but never won.
  • Detroit Lions…..never appeared in a Super Bowl and perhaps the worst postseason record in league history (9-14), but they did win 4 NFL championships between 1935 and 1957, prior to the SB era.
  • Buffalo Bills…..appeared in 4 consecutive Super Bowls (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994), but never won.
Maybe surprising to some, but there are still 12 of 32 teams that have never won a Super Bowl - Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans.

What about you?

There is no way the Super Bowl will happen this season without Taylor Swift in attendance. It's the penultimate after-party of the "Eras Tour."

I want to see Bills/Lions. Whoever wins will make franchise history.

The NFL & networks would likely prefer to see Chiefs/Eagles (or maybe Chiefs/Lions). And, regrettably, probably have the power to make that happen.

Most want to see in the Super Bowl? Colts, Dolphins, Chargers, Titans, Jets, Bengals

NFC I’d probably go…. eagles I think

Any combination of those matchups I think would interest me

I'm rooting for the Bills to finally win one, if we're not playing. I fully expect us to be there this year though...

I don’t want Philly or Washington there but unlike others I don’t care about the Chiefs. I actually find the hate KC gets quite funny.

My friends who hated and ragged on the Patriots for 2 decades, and called them cheaters who bribed the refs, have suddenly shifted to accusing KC of the same thing and calling them the same names.

I find it pretty funny.

First, I would like any team that has never been there.

Every fan should have their special season. Certainly, Lions fans deserve one. They should at least be there.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for teams that went there multiple times and lost every time. The Bills and Vikings had more than their fair share of opportunities. The same goes for the Bengals.

I would like to see a Lions-Texans Super Bowl with the Lions winning.

It would be sad to see Buffalo and Philly in the Super Bowl and watch the Bills lose again. That would mean that the Bills will have lost each of their Super Bowls to every team currently in the NFCE.
