This post can be used next year too.
We've been using this for the last 29 years!!This post can be used next year too.
That's a great list.Clearly, the Cowboys will not be in the big game this year, so I thought it might be interesting to note the teams Cowboys fans would most want to see in the Super Bowl.
For me, in no particular order, based on their team histories, players and coaches I admire and current story lines, this post season I’ll be rooting for:
Maybe surprising to some, but there are still 12 of 32 teams that have never won a Super Bowl - Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans.
- Minnesota Vikings…..appeared in 4 Super Bowls in the 70’s (1970, 1974, 1975, 1977), but never won.
- Detroit Lions…..never appeared in a Super Bowl and perhaps the worst postseason record in league history (9-14), but they did win 4 NFL championships between 1935 and 1957, prior to the SB era.
- Buffalo Bills…..appeared in 4 consecutive Super Bowls (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994), but never won.
What about you?
Just a minor nitpick. I saw that you mentioned Detroit winning NFL championships. You didn't mention that Minnesota also won one they year they lost to the Chiefs. Leagues weren't merged yet. Minnesota still won the NFL Championship game. The same game Detroit won.Clearly, the Cowboys will not be in the big game this year, so I thought it might be interesting to note the teams Cowboys fans would most want to see in the Super Bowl.

..lol...tell em' Ranch.I don't give a rat's shabazz
Let me get this straight. 12 of the 32 teams have never won the Super Bowl. Isn't that around 30%? The Cowboys have won it 5 times and the fans here say they suck.Clearly, the Cowboys will not be in the big game this year, so I thought it might be interesting to note the teams Cowboys fans would most want to see in the Super Bowl.

Well, you can look at it like the glass is half full. Of course since the Cowboys inception, we are currently in the longest streak without a championship game in franchise history. There are almost as many SB's played since we were in the last one. The last one we played in was SB 30. We won 5/30. Will be 0/29 soon. Flip side to every coin I guess.Let me get this straight. 12 of the 32 teams have never won the Super Bowl. Isn't that around 30%? The Cowboys have won it 5 times and the fans here say they suck.
I wouldn’t mind seeing KC having a shot at a three peat. I think it would be pretty cool to see a team like the Lions who have never even been to a SB upset KC.Anyone but the Eagles, Commandoes, or the Chiefs.
Somehow I didn’t know that. Which SB was the first that was considered the actual championship?Just a minor nitpick. I saw that you mentioned Detroit winning NFL championships. Same, but add SF and Pitt lolAnyone but the Eagles, Commandoes, or the Chiefs.
It took the Chiefs 50 years to get where they are now.Well, you can look at it like the glass is half full. Eagles are not going to the Super Bowl. But how can anyone not want the Lions to finally get there?for me anybody but Eagles and Ogre Campbell
Copium. It took the Chiefs 50 years to get where they are now.
