this team as a whole is just not very good. offense defense special teams coaching they all got beat badly. romo looks old and broken the defense looks lost they are still trying to find McCoy to tackle.

The Oline is solid, just not elite. They may develop into an elite line, still too early to tell. The Eagles Dline is very good, imo....

Pass it out in under 3 seconds, to shorter routes, as Green Bay does, and the line will look a lot better.

They stacked 8 in the box and our WRs couldn't get open. We should have thrown all over them.

Every OL will eventually fold if you can't throw the ball against 8 man fronts.

They pushed our guys around like rag dolls. I am scratching my head wondering about this performance? In the end I am going to write it off as a short week with jet lag! Better not let it happen again though! Was I the only one who thought Romo didn't look like his normal self behind the line today?

I'm not being antagonistic, and you're not the only one who asks this question, but it's a contradiction when people say and recognize that the o-line had a bad game but you still expect the QB to be the same world beater. The 2 go hand in hand. Tony is not going to be able to be Tony (at this stage) without the O-line and the running game executing at a high level.

I thought everybody was bad, except maybe the Special Teams was a little better than they've been. Run defense, pass defense, OL, Romo, receivers, everybody failed, IMO.
The performance of the OL has to be the biggest surprise of all.

I haven't re-watched the game yet. It seemed like Romo had time on some occasions but couldn't find anybody open. The running game was definitely a disappointment; although, Murray might have been off a little also. Dunbar/Randle looked quicker than Murray in their few chances.

If you are going to implement a system that involves getting the ball out with 3 step drops / etc is requires WRs running ultra precise route running and an incredible amount of timing between the QB and WRs.

I just don' think Dez / Williams / Beasley are those types of WRs.

I don't think Romo has ever been that kind of QB. Romo is more improvisational.

God Bless you if you can stomach watching it again. It is games like this that really make me doubt if Romo can win a Super Bowl. It seems with these important late season games where he should be elevating his game, he just comes out flat. The entire team was just dead flat, with everyone looking around for someone else to make a play. It is really disappointing that we could not exploit the Eagles weak corners. The last time I say Street or Williams was on the side of a milk carton.Witten for all of his screaming on the sideline didn't do anything to help Romo.

Was it really Romo? Nobody seemed to be getting open and the running game seemed to struggle.

Romo also has opportunities to run for first downs and chose to hold the ball and take sacks. Maybe if he ran a couple times, like he used to, that would give the defense some pause about going for all out blitzes. Romo did nothing to elevate this team yesterday, and when you are the QB of a contending team, that is your job. Make everyone around you better. Romo is playing to protect himself. That type of play will not get us to the playoffs.

I think Randle and Dunbar are a little quicker than Murray, they just can't pound out the tough yards like Murray can.

I don't fault Murray for what happened though. It seems obvious from early on Philly was not going to let Murray beat them, and had concentrated on him. It would be nice if JG and co. could have an alternate game plan in such a situation that included Randle and Dunbar with a different look to counter with. Instead it seemed they were determined they were going to beat Philly with Murray despite the defense keying on him.

IMO, both Dunbar and Randle have been good when they've had opportunities. I'm surprised that they don't get a few more touches per game and especially when Murray had a heavy workload just 4 days earlier.

You are probably onto something. I've often wondered why we don't adjust to that scheme, even when we are getting blitzed so quickly. When I watch Rodger/Brady/ P Manning the ball is gone in about 2-2.5 seconds on average....
