He definitely tried to push the ball downfield with the attempts. Unfortunately his average was still below Dak’s pathetic 5.5 YPA. Rush doesn’t have the physical ability, but he’s smart and that’s what makes him a good backup.

The difference in this game was Kirk Cousins out played Dak.

Dak has happy feet in the pocket. He has suddenly lost the ability to step up in the pocket and deliver the ball like a good NFL QB should. Rush actually stood in the pocket and delivered the ball.

Plus there's a huge difference between being the starter for 9 years and getting all the first team reps, instead of coming in cold Off the Bench Midway through the 4th quarter.

LOL at these people who seem to think Rush should have been able to step in with basically zero meaningful reps in practice or games this season and immediately start dropping dimes.

Even in the situation he was in it was clear that there was not a dramatic drop off from Prescott to Cooper

I just wrote a full page essay 3 weeks ago about why I support Dak. Rush looked better than Dak has the past few games yesterday. He dropped a dime that Lamb dropped. He looked like he was alot calmer in the pocket than Dak. He threw a few great passes his receivers dropped. The biggest difference is that Rush didn't look like he had PTSD from constantly getting blown up. Dak looks like he has PTSD from constantly getting blown up. You can tell Dak is rushing everything and is genuinely surprised when he has time to throw. Maybe he's been injured all season and there was more to that offseason boot than we thought. Either way, I will continue to hope Dak gets back to the QB he was last year in the regular season and that all of this is fixable, because he isn't going anywhere. But he's damn sure rattled. It's clear as day that he doesn't trust his line at all.
