yep i said it.

Down the field throws. Throws on time. Throws hitting the receiver in stride. He even had the awareness to keep the ball on the option to pick up that first down

Rush> Dakota
Some preconceived notions are clouding your analysis. Also, Rush was going against a prevent

“ his best is coming “ ….ok this is year 9 .

Is it my imagination or does Rush throw a deep ball better than Dak ? And Rush rarely plays . Tell you what with # 10 it’s going to be spread around more , guys like Brooks Flournoy and Tolbert will actually get targets .

Unfortunately, we just got to see him with less than 5 minutes left in the game, it's not like he crap the entire 3 1/2 quarters and now was finally hitting the WRs you know?
I guess you didn't notice how soft they played the once rush was in? Would've took 40 plays to score. Why does dak get criticized for 2 yrd passes but people like you praise rush for it ?

It always does for a few games. Go look at the statistics or just watch the games. He looks great and slowly declines as DCs figure him out. Last time he started more than one game he got worse statistically every single game he played until it all blew up against the Eagles I believe.

This team needs to jettison a bunch of salary and players to even think about doing well next year and with Jerry as the GM it will never happen.

Our best chance at a high draft pick is sitting Dak. Putting Lance in. And hoping to not win another game. This is on Jerry. And the more we lose the better. He deserves it. But rush isn’t a long term answer.

I've said it many times.. Rush isn't even a 'good' back up QB.. but he still looks better than Dak in many ways out there.

Personally I'd take the approach that the season is over and now is the time to really kick the tires on Lance and see if he has anything. You get to try before you buy and see whether you have the next QB on the roster or whether we need to go shopping. The issue with shopping is that we have a 60M blackhole at QB for another 4 years. What a horrifically bad signing that was.. and I think plenty of us said that at the time too.

Really? Cooper Rush or Trey Lance could be the answer? We have come to this? Unreal!!! We made a $240,000,000 mistake in who should be QB? Like it, Love it, or hate it, he is your QB for at least the next 3+ years. There is no getting out of that contract without absorbing the cap hit it will endure. Yes we could draft his replacement in the coming years, hell we may add a GM to be the scapegoat of poor decisions made to help the optics of what the owners decide, but like the saying, no matter how you polish a turd, it is still a turd. While I will endure this as I have managed to endure several other decisions made by the brain trust of the team, I am a Cowboy's fan for life. I just hope the owners see the recent slap in their face as an issue and wish to hold someone other than himself accountable. Thus hiring a true General Manager. One that has experience running a team and can be held accountable for a great or poor product that we see each and every week. One that saves the face of the Jones Family and also can be held accountable when we do not. The writing is already on the wall and while the media is already in Jerry's butt over the product we are showing each and every week this year, it may be the only saving grace in the next coming years.

Let's hope the Jones family see's this as well and decide to hire themselves a GM (Savior or Scapegoat), for the most recent blunder and cover up their involvement of the recent hirelings and their non-involvement in free agency to give a middling QB a line that can't protect him and a WR and RB grouping that does not make him elite as we paid him to be. At least then, Jerry will no longer be called AL Davis Jr. While this idea may seem nothing more than lipstick on a pig, please consider this a a prelude of what could be. A GM that is awarded a chance to make decisions to fix or further make us or break us in the future. One that our Owner can dismiss if things are going poorly,. With a little luck after the recent optics, he decides to employ such to save the Jones legacy. At least Jerry's feet are not held to the fire. Here's hoping for change anyways.

I get it the sunk cost fallacy (and again.. MANY of us pleaded/hoped/prayed that JJ would wait before handing over another bag) but to me we are now better off eating the contract and recruiting/trying out other options. Dak is not the guy that is going to get it done. Can't do anything about the money but don't waste the next 3 seasons of potential QB development too...
