The offensive line was particularly disappointing and Romo looked scared. No positives today.

O line looked abysmal....I think that was good for them to get their stuff handed to them. Let's see how they respond the next two weeks. I know they are embarrassed. Romo looked horrible because he couldn't trust the line and couldn't set his feet to throw the ball. Murray was fine. Williams needs to get benched. Total lack of effort on his part. Even when he caught the ball no fight. He waited for the defender to grab him and push him out of bounds. No move no nothing. Beasly is to small to play this game. 2 fumbles in 3 weeks for a back up is horrible. That expirament is over. I wanna see more of Harris. Why is it we get crap refs in back to back weeks? Still pissed about that penalty on Harris. What rule did that violate?

I'm extremely jealous of the way offenses like New England's consistently attacks the opposing team's weakness.

One week, a no name running back ran for 200+ yards, the next week they played the Lions (1st rank in run defense i think?) they threw the ball like 90% of the time in the first half leading to a blow out. You never know how they will attack you on a week to week basis

On the other hand, our offense philosophy is as follows:

-Run on first down
-Empty backfield on short yardage situations
-Only throw down the sideline
-Run on first down
-Never attack the middle of the field
-If a screen pass is successful, never go back to it
-Oh Dez Bryant is great at running after the catch? lets throw it to him down the sideline while he's blanketed knowing full well officials wont call pass interference against us
-Did i mention run on first down?

These "*something* threads" just take out the "passion" element on this forum....

I am 100% done with romo. His paycheck just does not justify his play. I look at the other elite QB's and when they have a bad game...they are pissed, because they are competitors. Romo just sits there sulking like Eli. We justify his play every year. His numbers are skewed by garbage time. In prime time games he is nothing more than a JAG. We messed up by signing him long term. We will remain mediocre with him at the helm

We have always been rather predictable yet productive. We have relied on talent and not enough scheme. Teams like Philly have good talent but scheme guys running open all over the place. Today it was on full display.

Wasn't there a prime time game just five days ago? Talk about short memory.

Some good points, Rainy especially regarding the reliance to run on first down. I believe Buck had commented at one point in the game that the Cowboys had run 11 of 12 times on first down. The next 1st down play was also a run, so 12 out of 13 times.

From what I understand, there are Offensive and Defensive QC coaches on Garrett's staff who chart the opposing coaches tendencies. However, who on staff does that for the Cowboys' own offensive tendencies?

Led the team on the final drive for the win, Sunday 11/23/14;)

Sure I'll give you that against the 3-8 giants.

lets talk 49ers or almost losing to the Rams. Now I know this was his second worse game but when other players look at him and say "g*d ******" "*** was that". That leads me to believe this team knows he's a JAG. Imagine someone saying that to Brady or manning or brees or rivers or wilson for that matter. No they wouldn't because they know those guys would be pissed off enough it's not worth it. I believe if you could have a beer during a game romo would just walk over and sit down and have a beer because hey, it is what it is "I've got to do better... But hey it doesn't matter I'm getting paid like a top dog"

I'll never understand any one who can't look at his career and say what you just said. I really can't. Look at what he's had around him through the years and the injuries he's played with. He doesn't care?

I know this is vague, but there is something seriously wrong with the offense. And I doubt any of us on here can put a finger on it. Now, you can say...they sure looked good in the 2nd half vs the NYG and they sure looked good against the Saints.

And that is my exact point. I am not saying the offense is bad. I am saying there is something wrong, somewhere. This offense cannot be consistent from week to week. It operates at a very high level and then they have games where they are sluggish and out of sync. Like today. They werent going against the 85 Bears today. Yet the offense was not good. It wasn't just one guy, either. Collectively, the offense has pathetic showings like they did today.

What makes an offense be like this? Does anyone have a real answer? Other than saying it's the QB or the head coach. What makes this offense so inconsistent? The defense, we can pretty much understand. It's not very good. Can anyone put a finger on the problem with the offense?
