The official hang Bledsoe thread

Elite...Brady, P. Manning, Favre (end of the line), and I think decent arguments can be made for Warner, McNair and Mcnabb, though like Favre they may be at the end of the line and missed their window.
So that is about 9% of the teams currently have Elite QBs (actually Favre is DONE but i'll be generous with you and give you 3 of 32). Discounting favre that is 6% with a genuine, elite QB today.

Yet cowboy fans get indignant that they are not on part of that 6-9% every year with the elite QB.

Again, that was the Henson Experiment. Instead of drafting a JAG in the 6th we traded a 3rd for a guy who alledgedly at one time had 1st round potential. We missed.

I'm sure we will draft another prject next year. In the meantime, we didn't see fit to blow a draft pick on a QB when we had so many other holes that needed filling, and Romo was apparently developing on schedule.

I know you don't like Romo because you don't believe in this vague and largely unaccountable variable of "arm strength" (which if you are not Brett Favre or Drew Brees is largely subjective), and certainly there are questions on his background. But this guy with the weak arm from a small school just had a better preseason than some highly rated guys have ever had.

All that aside, just curious. WHo should we have drafted that we didn't? Only guy I see in the Parcells era we had a legitimate shot at was Leftwich, and quite frankly I think he is a younger Bledsoe.
We rolled the dice on Henson. Nothing wrong with that. We rolled them on Romo and Hutch too. I don't fault the team for gambling. I fault them for doing nothing but gambling.

IMO, QB is simply too important a position not to go with what works.

I won't apologize for my expectations. I have them at every position, but only my views on QB seems to matter to some. I wonder why?

Hmm.

Maybe you're just a dork on a message board and you just think people care.

Oh yeah... like Troy did.

Tell me how "mr elite" did from '96 until he was dumped?

Troy didn't just win with great players around him... he led his team to a dynasty. Maybe that Cowboys team could have won A Super Bowl with Dilfer or Brad Johnson, you think they would have been the team of the 90's? Hardly.

You're right in your thinking though, the Cowboys did have elite players everywhere back then. Including QB.

They should have won 4 in a row if not for Jerry/Jimmy and the only NFL head coach in history dumb enough to try and take a gun through airport security.

So, how many other bus drivers led teams to dynasties? Montana? Brady?

If there are any bus drivers out there capable of making the HOF, sign me up. I want a HOF bus driver.

I guess he couldn't decipherr the "ADMIN" tag under Hostile's name.

Kind of like walking up to Royce Gracie on the street, when you don't know him, and saying, "Hey, I'll whip your ARSE."

I really don't want people treating me with kid gloves. He took a swing. I respect that. If he doesn't respect my opinions he doesn't have to read them. No skin off my nose.

To be fair, Hostile, anyone seeing your avatar for the first time would probably want to call you a dork because of it. How much longer do you have to display Mr. Happy under your username anyway?

Bledsoe had spirit. Then, like everyone else, it got fed up with his pathetic play and had an affair with Byron Leftwich.

Yeah Yeah and Romo's got moxie.
