I still don't understand what happened on that Seattle 12 men on the field deal. I was even under the impression that calling two timeouts in a row was a 15 yard penalty. I seem to remember the Joe Gibbs Commanders getting nailed on that during his second tour of duty.
I read something that said its not a penalty to call back to back TOs unless its icing the kicker, but the correct response was to ignore Carrol's request for a time out and impose the penalty. So in essence the Refs screwed up, again, in the exactly worst way for our team.
And for those saying why can't we defend a pick play, I'll argue the whole NFL has a problem defending pick plays consistently. That's why its supposed to be an OPI penalty. The NFL thought it was a big enough deal to make it a point of emphasis for this year, and it's still getting called about the same way every single week as it has for the last decade. The Seahawks best offensive plays today were pretty much all off of pick plays. The Saints won the game because of pick plays. Basically everyone goes to pick plays when they really want to get someone open.
