I thought. That with the injuries to this line. Dalton would be running for his life. Quite the opposite. He had time. Made some throws. Still looked horrible. But no one can say the OL didn’t do their job. Kudos to you boys. And Philbin.

and to everyone that said Dalton would look like Dak if he had time and produce similar results. Look to last night and never speak about it again. Y’all look foolish.

He was playing a pretty good D, not like the NFC East from early last year. We also missed three FG's which put us down. Made us one dimensional. Dalton isn't better than Dak, but we weren't exactly winning a lot of games with Dak this year before he got hurt.

Dalton performed well especially for a 2nd string QB with no defense. Had he been coached by Belichick he would have looked much better.

That's what I mean when I say results. I don't mean Dalton will throw for a bunch of yards all of a sudden.

Baltimore is just a better team than we are. Dallas would've most likely lost with Dak too.

My question is how many more games a year do we win with Dak than Dalton and if everything is optimal for both players, because you know Dak will get all of those excuses, then could Dalton win with that?

It's not even about Dalton really.. I don't think Dalton is a very good player. I think he's slightly below average to average.

We can do much better than Dalton. I'd rather draft a player or see what a guy like Stafford wants.

BTW... Dalton has an entire career of being a good solid player so it's not a reach to say if everything is optimal that he can get similar results to Dak because he did it with the Bengals.

Dalton is one of ten quarterbacks in NFL history to have thrown for over 3,000 yards in each of his first three seasons and one of only six to throw at least 20 touchdowns over the same span. Dalton is the only quarterback to lead the Bengals to five consecutive playoff berths, and one of five quarterbacks to lead his team to the playoffs in each of his first five seasons. He is also the Bengals franchise record holder for passing yards in a season, passing touchdowns in a season, and career passing touchdowns.[5

Oh so now we are moving the goal posts. Again. Entire career numbers. You wanna pull up daks numbers for his whole career? You’re a joke. An actual joke. First it was. No drop off. Then it was if he had time bla bla. Dalton didn’t break 200 yards until the 4th quarter yesterday. Let me guess. We lost because of the defense? But when we lose with Dak it’s daks fault.

Just take your crow and go in the corner. You have no idea what you’re talking about. And it’s laughable you’re still saying dalton would get Dak like results. News flash. Lawrence doesn’t win last night. Nor does trask fields or any insert QB name here. The problem with this team is defense. If you give Dak a defense. Which we can by drafting well. We have a window to win. You’re just to stubborn to admit that. You’re one of those people that is so stuck in you’d rather be right about Dak than see the team win. Such a joke

And we won’t. The QB is not the problem on this team. It’s the other side of the ball allowing 300 yards rushing a game. But morons on this site blame Dak and the offense all the time. “Let’s draft Lawrence” why? So we can lose games 48-40? We need to fix the defense. Period.

agree with your comment on the Oline, they did well til late in the game. no idea how you can say Dalton looked horrible.
Didn’t break 200 yards until the 4th quarter. In garbage time. Sound familiar??

Well i've based everything off of history. Guys like myself and Jimmy Johnson weren't optimistic about Dalton and what he could do because we just pulled it from thin air. He's done it before.

I don't care about his career numbers really. 5 consecutive playoff runs with the Bengals though? That means he can get the job done and provide about the same team results Dak does.

What crow am I supposed to be eating? Are we a game or 2 better with Dak right now? MAYBE? But I know we were a watermelon kick from 0-4 and struggling our butts off with the crappy Giants.

Was that all his fault? No it was not.

But my question is how do we get everything optimal for Dak while also giving him money like he is an elite difference making player?

There is plenty of 2019 evidence that shows that just because we play good defense doesn't mean Dak is going to light up the scoreboard.

He's just never really been a big impact on the outcome of games. He goes as the team goes. Some guys carry.. Some guys get carried.

We would be fools to pay the money he wants for a team result someone as average as Dalton can get.

Dallas is in shambles.. IT's time for a quick rebuild and look to the draft. Do not lock this roster down.

If only we can keep Tyron, Martin, and Collins healthy we would have the best offensive line in football. Those young guys played well against those dogs from Baltimore. I did not hear Knight and the Texas Tech tackles name all night long. I think that is a good thing. To be honest they held up well against the Football Team too.

I know they won't , especially with going to Cincy next week and this coaching staff and FO are morons.

But, Enough of Dalton. I want to see more of what Gilbert has. I'd be starting him the rest of the season. And, Gilbert would've been starting after the Stealers game. IMO

Sorry, got kinda sidetracked.

This is about the OL. And, I do give props to them. Wasn't as bad as I thought they would be.

Dak carried this offense plenty of times. But you’re biased and won’t admit it. Again. Yeah dalton got to the playoffs. What’s his playoff record again?

Dak carried this offense to what exactly?

What's your goal for this team?

Dak padding stats on crappy defenses or winning some meaningful football games and getting a championship.

Because signing Dak is going to make it super difficult for us to build this utopian football team that he requires.

We have almost no accomplishments to show for his rookie deal and the team is trending down.

The move is to draft a guy and hopefully that guy hits for a quick rebuild and provide a structure like Dak had early in his career that made him successful.

Signing him.. MEdiocreville.. 8-8.. Nothing but rookies from the previous year.. Letting good players like Byron Jones walk.. That kind of stuff.

Utopian football team that he requires? You mean like a defense that doesn't give up 36 points per game? If the team can just put together a half *** defense they can win with Dak.

in the context of this game, i thought he got about all there was to get. it was clear early on they didn't expect the Oline to hold up so they were getting the ball out quick and for whatever reason we can't run receiver screens and short passes where the receiver needs to make a guy miss.

once they dared let a play develop, he moved the ball effectively. (until we got deeper into their territory. yes that is familiar.) he put the ball in CD's hands on the hail mary. yes, his mobility is limited. when he got in trouble thought he made good decisions just to get the ball out of harms way. I would give him a B+ or A-.

It's not daks fault that the cowboys failed to get him signed within the window of his rookie deal.
Now you expect them to compound the problem by creating an unnecessary hole at qb by removing him because of the mistake they made themselves? genius.
