That's what I mean when I say results. I don't mean Dalton will throw for a bunch of yards all of a sudden.
Baltimore is just a better team than we are. Dallas would've most likely lost with Dak too.
My question is how many more games a year do we win with Dak than Dalton and if everything is optimal for both players, because you know Dak will get all of those excuses, then could Dalton win with that?
It's not even about Dalton really.. I don't think Dalton is a very good player. I think he's slightly below average to average.
We can do much better than Dalton. I'd rather draft a player or see what a guy like Stafford wants.
BTW... Dalton has an entire career of being a good solid player so it's not a reach to say if everything is optimal that he can get similar results to Dak because he did it with the Bengals.
Dalton is one of ten quarterbacks in NFL history to have thrown for over 3,000 yards in each of his first three seasons and one of only six to throw at least 20 touchdowns over the same span. Dalton is the only quarterback to lead the Bengals to five consecutive playoff berths, and one of five quarterbacks to lead his team to the playoffs in each of his first five seasons. He is also the Bengals franchise record holder for passing yards in a season, passing touchdowns in a season, and career passing touchdowns.[5
