My frustration simply lies in the fact that we have had the same problems for so, so long. It's hard to *believe* they will get fixed now, although I certainly hope they do.
I hear ya...but only these problems for 3 years. Before that we had other issues...like can Bledsoe stand up or can Vinny still run...or is Quincy hi.

We have our money on Romo now. It is what it is. At least we have a remote chance...more than KC Oakland or Detroit...many others.

a new coach next year will help but we'll still have the same team, same owner. Jerry is only 66 and appears healthy...heehee

D. The arm is obviously wrapped AROUND Hurd's waist.

Can you see Champ's hand in the photo?

No?

He's got his arm wrapped around Hurd, holding him by the chest. Textbook holding of a receiver. We got called for it last week against Carolina. On the video replay it certainly appears that Bailey uses his right arm as leverage to pull forward against Hurd.

Very easy call, and had it happened to another team I would say they got robbed as well.

Lemme go view the video, hard to tell much from the pic honestly. I saw it during the game, but let me watch it again.

The interference didn't or wouldn't have mattered. The point was, Why go at Bailey? Trying to be cocky? If you're going to go at Bailey, at least do it with a stud receiver, why take that chance?

Incompletion. Yeah, didn't matter a bit.

Why go at Bailey? Because Hurd had gotten inside of him. Simple as that. Doesn't matter if it's an All-Pro first ballot HOF'er or a street FA in that photo, Hurd has inside leverage for the pass.

Watched it a few times I just don't see it. Yeah, he had his arm on his waist but he never impeded Hurd's progress whatsoever. He dove to bat the ball down. He never used Hurds body or his arm on Hurds waist as any kind of leverage to get to the ball.

Notice how Hurd gets completely turned at a 90 degree angle to the LOS as Champ continues to pull him around as the ball goes by?

You're serious??? You don't think he pulled Hurd around by his right arm TO MAKE the play on the ball???

I watched it twice and immediately saw it.

I have to admit, watching live I was waiting for the flag, but after seeing a replay I wasn't really alarmed by what I saw. You see DBs have their arm on a receiver all the time mainly just for balance and they're not called. I thought what Bailey did was one of those times, but I could certainly be wrong.

The point is that very rarely is an official going to make a call like that in the final seconds of the game. Especially playing on the road, the refs are going to "let them play" 9 times out of 10 in that situation. Anything short of a WR being tackled, is going to be a no call.

Knowing this, a quick slant should have only been called if we had a WR big enough to sheild the DB from the ball. Clearly, Hurd is not big enough to sheild Bailey and the pass got knocked away.

What is mind boggling is that after we tried the play on 3rd down and it didnt work, why in the hell did we call the exact same play again??? Only a freaking ****** would do something that dumb.

Our genius OC needs to put down the Playstation controller and figure out what the hell is going on out there.

It looks to me that Hurd realizes he has someone about to make a huge hit on him and does a natural turn to shield himself. Baileys arm is kind of moving up as he makes the play on the ball, for him to have the kind of strength required to completely turn Hurd around would require that he not be mid flight. You can tell he doesn't have any sort of grip on Hurd with his right arm.

I agree but unless it's totally blatant refs are not going to call that on the last play. And I agree..I want the players to make the difference...but why were we going to Hurd against Baily in that situtaion. The experienced player like in Basketball is going to get the call. No sour grapes for me. I felt we lucked out on 4th down and if we couldn't get in on 4 plays ..then we lose. I wouldn't want that called if it went the other way on us to end the game.

Granted, I've seen far far less than THAT be called, but honestly to call that would be so ticky tacky it wouldn't be funny. As a defender you're allowed to put your arms and hands on a WR you just can't impede their progress or ability to make the catch.

Even if Bailey truly did flip Hurd, he flips him right as the ball becomes catchable, not pre-catch.

Today was the end of Tony Romo, I kid you not, his psyche is shattered, he will slowly lose team and fan support as the season progresses and even Jones will have to come to terms with it in the off season.

You couldn't be more right. His confidence is done. You could just see it in his body language. Uncomfortable, nervous, scared. That Giants game really did a number to him and he even played conservative in the Panthers game.

It's all down hill from here. Romo will lose his teammates and it will just be a cluster**** after that.

Considering we gave Romo a contract worth more than the GDP of a small 3rd world country, it better not be the end of him.

Also, we have jack behind Romo. There are no franchise QBs sitting on the bench this time. If Romo is done, so are we for a very long time.

Who the heck is Jack?
Thought we only had Jon and Stephen. Is Jack a promising practice squad player?

He's Brad Johnson's less mobile less talented lost brother. Looks a lot like Eli Manning.

Inside leverage was won. Pretty obvious from the replay. Bury your head and scream it was all Garrett's fault, Romo's fault, Wade's fault until they hear you on the opposite side of the planet.

Touching a receiver's waist isn't an automatic PI call. Hurd is not a goto receiver in the redzone, especially on back-to-back plays with the game on the line. A professional OC/QB would recognize that.

Except when they get a dolly to wheel him off the field after taking two sacks on the same play.
