Every team that won this week had more rushing attempts than their opponents.

Blame and point fingers at who you want but this is actually backed up with real, clear as a bell stats and fact.

Get off the defenses *you know what*

IMO there is 1 man to blame and that is Big Red, Red, JG, whatever you call him.

And only 3 of the winning teams had less TOP.

It doesn't take a genius to realize running the ball leads to winning the TOP battle which allows your defense to stay fresh, giving your team a better chance of winning the 4th quarter battle in close games.

You're confusing cause and effect. If simply having more rushing attempts would lead to wins, teams would just line it up and run every down. Winning teams will usually end up with more attempts as they run out the clock to protect a lead.

Ironically, the team that won the T.O.P. in all 3 cowboys-Giants games last year...lost the game...

Oh so when we were down by 10 and 7 points in the 1st half we NEEDED to play catch up and throw the ball 4/5 plays. My bad.

I didn't know every team that won today ran 20 garbage rushing plays in the 4th quarter. My bad again.

So you are saying we should shoot for less TOP in all our games for now on? Or just against the Giants?

neither I am saying that is a stat from last year that is just crazy.

I am with you man. The reason I believe we won the philly game was because we continued to run the ball in the third quarter when it wasnt working. Barber popped one after being stopped for a half and then we ran really well and won the game.

Romo throws an INT on first down at the 40 yard line. I would have loved to have seen us running the ball on that drive.

Anyone watching the Eagles / Bears ?

Eagles are down to their last RB and watch what is gonna happen...

McNabb will throw 95% of the time rather than his 60% and the Eagles might not score again (defense might get them a score, coming up actually)

Again, if this was the one truism in football, why do teams not just line it up and run every play to ensure they have more carries than their opponent?

The same reason why teams don't come out and call 48 passing plays versus 10 run plays...

Oh wait, we did that today and lost.

Being a 1-trick pony offensively is no way to win in the NFL.
