Yea - the rule sucks. The rules on both of those penalties suck.

But they both get called all the time. Easy to be mad at the rule, but I'm not really sure the refs did anything wrong on that series.

I agree. The call on Jaylon will get called 999 times out of 1000. Jaylon didn’t do anything malicious- he jumped to bat the ball and grazed the side of Wentz’s head. Contact with the QB’s helmet is going to get called every time unless the official is screened from seeing it.

Same with Woods’ penalty. Nothing malicious by Woods, just a hard d, aggressive defensive play, but this isn’t Jack Tatum’s NFL today.
