The only thing this win tells me is we will get smashed in two weeks by the Eagles

It was not pretty today and they will need to play better to have a chance against Philly and into the playoffs. But seriously, I don’t know how some of you consider yourself fans. Bunch of crybabies and the sad thing is some are the older fans as well. Embarrassing.

I'm just so thankful the Texans, with a running QB, don't call back to back QB sneak from a few inches away.
Philly essentially has a 1.5 game lead against because we own the tie breaker. All we need for a bye seed is them to lose to either the Bears, Saints or Giants and beat them X Mas Eve. So happy their coach went brain dead
We also have a couple losable road games to end the Season. It would be just like us to pass the Eagles only to lose it in week 17.

Every game can take a life of it's own. Each game is different. Last weekend's 50 burger and this week has no bearing on the playoffs or even next week. Like you said, it's literally a week to week league. I think what tripped us up this week is the focus on the OBJ circus and looking ahead to the Eagles.
Looking ahead to the eagles in two weeks? God help us vs the Jags then lol.

We will have to bring our A game, but I think it depends on Dak. If he can’t protect the football, I don’t see us winning.

Maybe we just bench him in the second quarter since 90% of his interceptions happen then lol

Nothing to smile about since Davis Mills was able to move the Ball up and down the field. I can only imagine what Hurts will do.
So what did you say last week when the Cowboys won by a million and the Eagles only beat the Colts by 1???

I use to find it strange how fixated the Eagles fan base was on the Cowboys. I even gave @Aerolithe_Lion a couple of shots about it a couple of times in the past. My my my how the times have changed.

RPO is giving our defence fits. We need to get a read on it. I wonder if it is our aggressive style on defence that gets us in trouble at times.

This type of "logic" is why the negative nellies are wrogn so much.
If someone watches enough football they see good teams get out played by bad teams. Lose easy games and still come back the next week and look like a totally different team
That’s football

Good grief. Hot take. I was annoyed by the play today, but I'm not panicked. My reasoning for no panic? We're overachieving at this point, and I'm here for the ride. I've seen worse teams win Superbowls.

The Houston Texans are proud athletes just like the players on every NFL team. All week they were hearing how they were supposed to lay down and get run over. Every day of every season they have to experience the Cowboys getting all the attention even in the seasons where the Texans have a better record.

Here, in Texas, they are the NFL version of the unwanted stepchild.

Playing the Cowboys is their Super Bowl, particularly during a season like this. Beating the Cowboys would have meant everything to their fans. many Cowboys fans just don't realize what it means to the fans of other teams when they upset the Cowboys.

The Texans worked very hard to prepare and they played with a ferocious intensity. Give the Texans some credit for contributing to the Cowboys struggle against them. They taught the Cowboys a lesson when it comes to taking teams for granted. I'm just grateful that the Cowboys were given this lesson without having to experience the consequences.

In the end, both the Cowboys offense and their defense found redemption in the last minutes of the game. Some teams separate themselves from others by scoring. Others separate themselves by how they react in pressure situations, particularly when driving for the winning score at the end of a game.

The outcome of this game has no effect on how the Cowboys will play against the Eagles. This is because the Cowboys players understand the nature of competition in the NFL and this game will not shake their confidence
