The other options at RB

Adding a RB and a WR will not make a difference when Barkley is rushing for 250+ yards a game.

If you can't compete in your own Division you may as well forget about the playoffs.

The obstacle in the way is Philly. A WR and a RB is not fixing that problem.
Stop riding The eagirls jocks

That’s garbage ratings, I am talking about actually catching passes not the equivalent of a long handoff, get out of here with that pff crap, did you watch even one game of Jeanty
Like the 43 passes he caught in 2023 for 569 yards and 5tds? And, yes I did. I've watched double figure games of Jeanty.

Now what type of passes were they?
Don’t get it twisted I will take him, I was a rb and I love the position, but he’s not the best one in the draft that is my stance

So there is a very high probability that Jeanty is drafted before we get on the clock and with that being said I have really been looking as closely as I can at some of the other very talented RBs in this draft, I will start with Judkins and he is being rated as the 4th RB to be taken off the board.
Take a look...

We still have Deuce.

So if Rico was the starter from game 1 and ran for 1,300+ yards, would GM Jethro kept Rico?

Yes I agree, I dont think he does as well in NFL.
And if he doesnt catch or block well, he isnt worth a 1st round pick.

You cant go by stats or HL reels.
If you can make holes he will be just fine. He also proved he can run without holes.

Hampton, Henderson, Judkins, Tuten, all are better than Jeanty in my opinion.

I would take that bet; although, it's very difficult to compare RBs in their rookie season because the quality of the surrounding team varies greatly.
- Top of the draft picks normally go to bad teams.

Jeanty is great just based on watching game footage even if you have no information about of college stats.

Jeanty has the 2 key ingredients to great running backs.
- Contact balance and vision.
- Emmitt might be #1 in both of those categories.

If they had been in the same draft, you probaby would have liked Darren McFadden over Emmitt.
- McFadden was an incredible athlete with top deep speed and very good size (6-1, 222).
- He never really lived up to those measurables due to a lack of great contact balance and vision.
- Herschel Walker had similar issues
- One of the all time great pure athletes (size/speed) but far inferior contact balance compared to Emmitt.

If anybody is comparing Jeanty to Barry Sanders, then they are clueless.
- Barry is one the the greatest pure athletes that have ever played football.
- Jeanty's style and skillset are much more like Emmitt than Barry.
- Barry's type of athleticism translated to playing RB in the NFL much more than some other great athletes.
- None of the RBs in this draft class are close to that level of athleticism.
- They're probably not even any on the pure athletic level of Saquan Barkley.

Jeanty is not better than every back in the draft not even close. You will see, that all those D2, small D1s, HBCU and top JC defenses he played against,. Like I said he ran for a lot yards he’s good but those defenses he played against were trash. Tuten catches the ball better and he’s way faster, I’m just saying. Most people see all those yards and they want to compare him to Barry but he’s not even close, really yes he has the yards but those defenses were trash .
Jeanty didn’t play against Division II, HBCU, or Junior College defenses. He’ll be the first running back selected in this draft. The team that selects him has professionals ascertaining skills of running backs available in the draft.

Note, if you had to live on the difference between ACC and MWC football you’d starve to death.

Excellent RB, in my opinion Jeanty is not the best RB in this draft, he's good and I will take him, along with a second RB in this draft.
I too would like to get 2 in this draft if we can. Hampton, Henderson, Judkins, Tuten, all are better than Jeanty in my opinion.
I know I know Jeanty ran for all these yards, and I know that he was 95% or more of the boise offense and everyone lined up to stop him, but he's not good at pass protection, yes he can be taught, he can catch the ball a little bit but he's not very good at it, the other RBs in this draft catches the ball way better than he does.
My biggest thing with Jeanty is that he did not play top level defenses like the other guys the best defense he played against was Penn State, yes he rushed over 100 yards, 104 to be exact but the game was over by the time he hit and went over that 100 it was late in the 4th quarter, he only had 39yards in the first half
Follow up to my previous reply.'

Jeanty takes more hits than Emmitt which combined with Jeanty's college workload would worry me.
- I would be hesisitant to draft him at #12 for that reason.

I would still take my WR and pad future cash flow and team passing production.

As to a lead runner, I'd pay to move up into the first round and get my preferred lead runner.

I would ensure both happened in the first round.

Also pretty sure he had almost 200 yards against Oregon.

You probably know Jerry as much as all of us do, but you can never predict Jerry, and the Panthers know exactly what they are getting with Dowdle.

Wish we had Dowdle still rostered, but he knew what was up and got out of town the best he could do.

We need to bring back 2 RBs from this draft and I will be surprised if Dallas doesn't bring home 2 RBs.

This is a deep RB draft, and I have no problem with the number of picks that we currently own that drafting at least 2 RBs is very obtainable.

They were all kind of passes. You don't know what you are talking about.

Ok Parcells. Just like Stephen Jackson for Felix Jones. Don't outsmart youself.
You have to trust in your Player evaluations, those that evaluate talent with McClay.
I love McClay's loyalty to this franchise, but he needs to have his best evaluations and board in tune for this 2025 draft.
I believe we currently have 12 picks, so we can sweeten a move up with some 6ths and 7s, just saying there should be some movement from this team in this draft.
I'm not trying to outsmart anyone, so it's just an opinion BTW.
