The other options at RB

Oregon Dline against Boise OLine?

Man you act like a RB is either good or bad all by himself.
No I don’t, I played RB I know for a fact that the OLine is important. I was taught by a legendary high school coach that, this is how he did it, I was popping off in practice so he told the everyone but the center and QB to have a seat on the side lines told the center to snap the ball that’s it QB hand me the and I had eleven defenders to beat, you know the results, so in my opinion the OLine are the true skill players.
His OLine was trash, so in my opinion the defenses were too for him to run through them like that but it shows he has something.
I meant to tell you earlier that I like this back and forth

Jeanty is a special cat. Can't measure him to the other backs in this draft. He has a much different look and feel. My fear is he's between Emmitt Smith and Barry and we will have to play him twice a year in our division. If he falls, DO NOT PASS ON HIM. It would be the same thing as not drafting Randy Moss because we had a need at another position. Never draft for need over bpa. Don't make the same mistake we made in 1997. It will haunt us. Draft Jeanty.

I think debates can be healthy. Football is the difficult sport to compare players because it is the most team dependent professional sport.

Oregon had a top 20 Defense in the Nation last year and Jeanty had 3 TD's and 192 yards. Granted they lost 37 - 34, but he single handily kept them in the game.

Agree with you 100% it’s the ultimate team sport.
I wish people would remember that or learn it, before they start to blame a loss on one guy, especially the QB because in the words of ED Reed when he was told that his position depended upon the others doing their job he responded with the QB is the most neediest position on the team

Penn State was top 8 Defense in the Nation. Jeanty had no chance with the focus being on stoping him. He still broke 100 yards and average 3.5 yards a carry.

I don’t like how the supposed experts rank things, I really don’t respect them, in my opinion they just be throwing darts. Oregon rush defense was ranked 40th nationally , 17th in something else 12th in another category 10th in another.

The Oregon Ducks’ defense in the 2024 college football season was among the nation’s elite. Under head coach Dan Lanning, the Ducks achieved a 12-0 regular season, propelled by a formidable defense that ranked highly across several key metrics:

  • Points Allowed Per Game: 15.6 (10th nationally)
  • Total Yards Allowed Per Game: 297.2 (12th nationally)
  • Passing Yards Allowed Per Game: 173.8 (17th nationally)
  • Rushing Yards Allowed Per Game: 123.5 (40th nationally)
  • Sacks Per Game: 3.0

This defensive performance is considered one of the best in Oregon’s history, with contributions from standout players like Jordan Burch, Derrick Harmon, Jeffrey Bassa, and Jabbar Muhammad. Their efforts were instrumental in securing the Ducks’ undefeated regular season and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

You missed my earlier posts, he went over 100 late in the 4th quarter after the game had been decided, 30 carries for 104, first half he had 40 yards

Since this is a good RB class, the Cowboys need to hit them twice.

I would prefer the Cowboys trade down and try to come away with an extra 3rd or even 2nd round pick. I would like to see them come away with about 12 draft picks

I would like to see them take two RB's within the top five rounds.
Wouldn’t be a smart move taking 2 RBs with all the holes we have. I’m not a fan of trading down multiple times for several more picks. It makes me think back to the 09 draft. I’m looking for quality not quantity.

Not sure it matters what half.

What round do you think Maddux Madsen gets drafted in next year???

We really don’t have a lot of holes, I know that the media has been driving that all season and now but we don’t. We just need to get Jerry out of the decision making and let the coaches coach and play players that are ready to play.

I think we have a lot of holes and lack depth due to injury.

The best thing for Micha would be a DT that can both support the run and help collapse the pocket.
