The Outsiders or The Warriors?

I've been playing "In The City" by the Eagles on guitar a lot lately because it relaxes me from the Cowboys madness. So, I guess you can tell which way I'm leaning.

The Outsiders on names alone. Ponyboy and Sodapop Curtis, Two-Bit Mathews, Johnny Cade, Dallas Winston, and Cherry Valance. It just doesn't get any cooler than that.

Not to mention the gang names - The Warriors, The Gramercy Riffs, The Rogues, Turnbull AC's, The Orphans, The Baseball Furies, The Lizzies, The Punks, The Boppers...
Don't think you can go on names alone.

No. It IS a major factor in THIS CASE however.

Yes, it is a stellar cast. However, there have been plenty of great movies with unknown casts, and plenty of awful movies with all-star casts. So I don't think that can be your only argument. Not knocking The Outsiders, it's great. I just happen to like The Warriors a little more.

I never said it was my “only argument“. You seem to be assuming that.

Not knocking The Outsiders, it's great. I just happen to like The Warriors a little more.

Same on my end. I like the Warriors a lot too. In fact, it’s why I didn’t comment in this one sooner. It was so close and such a good question that I had to think about my answer for a while.

Both were great movies and The Outsiders had an outstanding cast. Diane Lane might give it the edge..

On a side note, did anyone ever play the Warriors video game? I think it was way back on the PlayStation 2 but it was a great game. Rockstar Games (GTA) made it.

I never saw either movie, but I did read The Outsiders book while I was in high school and I LOVED it. On that metric I would choose The Outsiders.
