The Patriots only kept two running backs

Ronnie, so you're saying Zeke's going to have approximately 450 yds?
The way Belichik likes to change up his teams to attack an opponent's weakness I would put the over-under closer to 700. There is going to be 2-3 games where the matchup dictates Zeke get 20+ carries and when that happens he will put up 120+ yards and a couple of TDs. The rest of the time he will be in the 30-50 yard range.

Ronnie, are you talking YPC or total yards for the season? I’m betting Vaughn has more YPC and yards per catch/more receptions than Zeke. I’m betting Vaughn has more impact on our team than Zeke does with the Patriots (measured by YPC, receptions and receiving yards). I feel Zeke will have more yards due to more opportunities and Zeke will have more TDs due to short yardage situations.

I like Zeke, wish he was still here and hope for the best for him but his best days are behind him and I like the youth movement we got going on. My main hope for Zeke is he stays healthy in this latter part of his career and can go into retirement with a healthy body. Zeke was great for us and I wish the best of luck to him.
I think Zeke will have more total yards easily. Yards per carry? I dunno.. depends if he is cast as the short yardage guy again. Which I guess it would be stupid not to since he's been #1 in the league at it for the last two years. That's always going to reduce his YPC so someone not actually watching the game might conclude that his production was not good because he's not averaging 5 ypc. At this point in his career he's a chain mover and touchdown maker. Much like Bettis was in the latter stages of his career. Hoodie will get the most out of him I'm sure. He sounds like he already loves him probably most of all because of the kind of player and teammate Zeke is .. BB loves tough, smart unselfish players. Zeke could not have landed in a better spot if he paid for it.

Stevenson and Elliott which means if you bet that Deuce Vaughan or any of the Cowboys backup RBs to have more production this season than Zeke now is the time to back out of that bet. Stevenson the RB1 but Zeke is looking at 150-200 touches easily. More if Mac Jones doesn't get a lot better this year.

Just sayin..
Look I love zeke I was one of his biggest supporters but all this nonsense about what he's gonna do after he left here in our backups versus them backups..ughh

you know all that matters was the money vs age vs prodcution..
pretty much our entire running back staff put together even with pollard's money in there is making less than what we would have owed Zeke had he continued to be on this team..
You also have to add in his injuries risk which has happened the last two years in a row therefore nobody can reject what's going to happen you think he's going to have 150 to 200 touches not if he gets hurt again if he's used that much and he wears down like he does here buy game 10 his 4.2 yards per carry will go down to 3.5 yards per carry and then by the end of the season he's gonna be washed.. I'm not saying that's gonna happen but that's what's been happening that's why we had to release him his money versus what's been going on in the second-half of the last two years I mean we can't have a guy at 2 yards per carry we leaned on him in the playoffs in the second-half and lost that game. Yes it was a long season for a guy like zeke that's my point we need a guy to be fresher in the playoffs using a running back by committee younger players with fresher legs with differing skill sets that can do just about everything I think is better than having zeke and Pollard.

But I do wish him all the luck he was one of my favorite players and I hated that the man was disrespected all the time here. But frankly I'm a Cowboys fan now that he's somewhere else he's over in AFC I no longer care what he does..

By the way let me put some common sense into this conversation you do realize that I'm only keeping two backs means nothing right now they can easily go get a back there are some very solid running backs out there on the market that will continue to be on the market so if they see an issue with their production or injuries the running back position they will just run out and get another one they're almost as easy to replace as a kicker I know that sounds stupid but there are a lot of really solid running backs that can do what zeke can do now not what he did in college or what he did the first four years here but what zeke can bring to a team right now they can get those dudes pretty readily.. But what really needs to happen both on our team and theirs the run game will go with the offensive line who's got the better offensive line and who's offensive line will be better in the run game and stay healthier??

200 touches for a backup running back in a passing league? Highly highly doubt that.

Better take note of the Bills, Jets and Dolphins defense he will face 6 times…..they ain’t some of the weak NFC defenses he took on when he was young

I don’t care what he does in NE. Im just happy he’s finally gone from here instead of listening to this front office blowing smoke on how great he is. It was a real problem that reached a disturbing level of stupidity.
This..

Zeke could have a resurgence. There are other Super Bowl Running Backs who had late career resurgences after changing teams. Marcus Allen (in KC), Otis Anderson (with the Giants), and John Riggins ('Skins) all come to mind.

His fat *** couldn't even scratch out 4 YPC making a million dollars per game. You think he is suddenly gonna look like Bo Jackson now that he makes 1 million per season?

The Patriots are going to be an old school power football team. They are going to take the air out of the ball and limit mistakes. With Belichick this plan could work.

I am very surprised the Patriots went so light on halfbacks.

I know that RB3s are pretty much special teamers, so they must have gone heavy on WRs to pick up the gunner / KR slack. I'm not sure. I'm not a Patriots fan.

LOL this is 2023 and Brady is long gone. Little Billy is starting to stink and with fat zeke by his side it will only stink worse.

Zeke has not run for 100 yards in a game since August 2021. Now he is going to bust multiple 120+ yards in a season with a bum knee, no burst, and no passing threat?

Ronnie you need to stop.
