The Paver for Pops

I am sort of a regular here but remain conditioned posting in other forums. That is no reflection on the CowboyZone. I find this venue first rate and the most credible source for Cowboy news.

I really didn't get to know Mr. Parkhill, I didn't exchange any posts with him, thus out of respect I won't call him "Pops". But the lingering devotion and love for Mr. Parkhill who passed away earlier this year, well it is impressive, if not profound.

What a special Cowboys fan, forum member and man he must have been.

I have not witnessed this anywhere else in any forum I have participated in over the last dozen years. It says a lot about all of you.

For those of us who say good morning to him on a daily basis, I'm sure that Cbz wouldn't mind some more company in the Daily Zone. Respect is the only requirement over there.

Well, it is great to encounter such thoughtful folks in here when a dear friend and Cowboys fan departs the forum and life.

I didn't know the guy very well. But I can tell you something about his character. Being the nuisance I often am on the internet, pops had good reason not to like me as a moderator. However, I made a post with youtubes featuring Tashard Choice's talent and highlights. He said, "you do know how to make a point." I took that to mean, I don't care for your sometimes persistent antics, but I accept you as a human and perspective. In that case he agreed with me.

It was one of the biggest compliments I had ever gotten on here because I know I can push peoples buttons and sometimes be a jerk. Yet he saw the good in me and complimented something I wrote.

It seems small, but I think it speaks largely about his character.

May Weldon rest in peace. I hope the youngins stay out of his yard in heaven.

I couldn't imagine Pops wanting the youngins to stay out of his yard in heaven.:)
