Isn't that what I said? If the DT's don't absorb the interior OL, we will see a lot of RBs at that 2nd level. Maybe I wasn't clear in the first one.First of all it's usually the DTs that protects the LBs from the OL. And as I said, DLaw is a good DE but he alone isn't going to make the whole LB corp play better. Especially with their poor tackling and play recognition.
That's why we saw Murray at the 2nd level so much in 2014 and he's pretty much a straight line runner. Our interior line was handling their DT's and getting to the 2nd level themselves. I expect the same this season with a more dangerous back to take advantage of those run blocks. Murray had a great season but if he had just a little more speed or elusiveness, he would have set the single season record. And he would have approached Emmitt's 25 TD's.
