Just want to win the Super Bowl this year!!!!
Okay, then we as a blog need to start brainstorming what else we need to happen. What are our collective thoughts on Cam Chancellor? Should the Cowboys make a play. I'm a bit on the fence about that right now. 1. I don't think the Cowboys have the cap room. 2. Would he be a progress-stopper for the likes of Byron Jones and Wilcox?
That's the crazy thing about football. What has happened up to this point means absolutely nothing Sunday night. Like you said, anything can happen.

To be honest, I hate even talking about the Super Bowl at this point in the year. I really hate getting my hopes up to see them get dashed by year end. And this scenario has played out too many times for us fans before. They get our hopes up with an amazing year only to completely off the next. Granted, there is alot of difference in this team versus those teams, namely the average age. But still...it's hard not to worry about the jinx factor.
That phrase goes back a helluva lot farther than the Clooney movie!
I agree though, the team did well this off-season and have put themselves in a position to compete, that is all,,,, from here on out almost anything can happen!
I think back when Jimmy was here he had the goals set right !!! Short term and long term !
It has been a collective change in approach. It really is hard to say who is the guy that prompted the change, but from my perspective that change began when Jason Garrett took over from Wade. The changes were slight, but noticeable. And slowly but surely it took hold of the entire organization. I'm not necessarily saying Jason Garrett is completely responsible...there really is no way of knowing for sure...but I'm not dismissing that notion either.
A combo of Garrett getting the gig and Stephen getting more control. It's more than Mcclay and I honestly don't know how much or how little of the credit should be his. 3 strong decision makers is a good thing either way.
And that is one of the things I applaud Garrett for. He seems to do an excellent job of keeping the team focused on the long term as well as the short term. I love when he talks about winning every day, every down, every practice, every drill, every second of every day, so that when the actual game comes, winning is a part of your mental make-up and not simply just something you want to accomplish.
My first thought............
And those three coaches got the assistants they needed or liked to work with. A good coaching staff can never be overlooked.
Now, it's up to the players.
Not gonna lie. I was a bit disconcerted given the potential media circus he could bring. But it really wasn't as bad as I expected, so here's hoping he can return to form starting game 5 against Brady...and suspend Brady via injury for the rest of the year (terrible thing to wish for, I know, but I really can't stand the Patriots right now).

This is what JJ was buying when he brought in Garrett as the OC. We couldn't see it because we never had the personal interaction with Garrett. All we knew was that he was very smart guy, who understood football from the eyes of a backup QB and a son of an NFL scout. I think many of us thought he was going to be brilliant with the X's and O's, and thus we were disappointed with the outcomes early on. Then he became a head coach and we thought how can someone be so smart and yet seem so dumb when it came to basic football concepts, i.e. time management, knowing when to run and when to pass, don't ice your own kicker, duh?? It perplexed us what JJ saw in Garrett, If he doesn't excel in designing plays/game planning, he is not good game manager what good is he? Then as time progressed, he was able to get his coaches, and he was able to get his players (RKGs)....he was able to get rid of those players who only understood losing. He kept stacking good days on top of good days. He kept the team focused on one game at time...each season is a new season and you have to earn it (respect, winning, etc.) all over again. then it occurred to me, we hired another Jimmy Johnson type of HC....the master psychologist who knows how to motivate teams, including coaches who were previously HCs (or perspective HC) that had to answer to this young coach, and players that are idolized, paid millions, and have their own egos. He has gotten everyone on the team on the same page motivated for one common goal. I don't know how this story will end, there are so many variables that play into winning a SB many that are outside of anyone's control, but I do know this team is talented enough and will fight as hard as they can to achieve that one goal.

lmao! I hear that....! I hope Brady can stay upright...

You remember that kid in your neighborhood or in school who could absolutely do no wrong in the eyes of authority, but whom everyone your age knew he could get away with murder...and outside of the literal act, in many ways did? In my eyes, that's Brady.
So, while I'm not a big fan of wishing injury on anyone...I really do want to see him get hit really, really hard...repeatedly. So perhaps the suspension for the year via injury comment was a bit harsh and uncool to wish for, but I think seeing him spend the majority of the day on the ground isn't asking for too much.
