Jason Garret is never going to be a great or even really top level game day coach. BUT he is showing that he is excellent at getting a team ready to play and preparing them. Add to his ability to get along with Jerruh and convert him to his current behavior and he is looking like exactly what we need at this time in this place. I never thought he was all that as a OC and did not like his play calling. But he has assembled an excellent staff and that is something beyond price.

I agree with most of what you said. But I wouldn't go as far as to say "Jason Garrett is never going to be a great or top level game day coach." I'm not saying he is that now, but given enough time in the position, eventually I believe the right decisions in various situations will become natural to him.

Or I could be wrong...

The perfect storm happened last season when Garrett's consistent team philosophy, Linehan coming on board, Marinelli taking the helm on defense, Jerry relinquishing power, McCray doing the GM duties and the drafting of Martin. All of this started the day when they started handing the ball to Murray and the perfect storm all converged into one making it an unbelievable season.

The storm hasn't quite finished just yet. In fact, its stirring into a more turbulence and destructive nature that will wreck havoc everywhere in the NFL this year.

I have been there for decades with the steelers !

There was a story that I read today that the Patriots spygate incident was actually much more far-reaching and intensive that what it reportedly was. In fact, Goddell was reported to have destroyed evidence in front of NFL owners smashing the video tapes that would have other-wised proved that the Patriots cheated.

The NFL has lost all integrity because of this and its time to punish the Patriots by relinquishing their Superbowls and have Goddell step down as commissioner.

Bilicheck isnt a great game day coach either. He creates a great culture and he teaches.

To be honest, I hate even talking about the Super Bowl at this point in the year. I really hate getting my hopes up to see them get dashed by year end. And this scenario has played out too many times for us fans before. They get our hopes up with an amazing year only to completely off the next. Granted, there is alot of difference in this team versus those teams, namely the average age. But still...it's hard not to worry about the jinx factor.

Well....... too late for me.
I'm all in with this team. I'll be crushed if they falter.

I hate the cliché of a team "wanting it more". I've played organized sports at every level, and to say a team "wants it more" is an insult to thr opposing team who probably sweated their butt off just as hard as the winning team. The grown men in the nfl probably all want it, it's just about execution and a lot of luck. Here's to hoping I see it all come together for my boys this year

Nice summary. A bounce here or there can make or break a team or individual. Immaculate reception comes to mind.....

He is better than Garrett but then he does have a lot more experience. But he has indeed had some really true brain farts during games- and of course gets a pass because he has those rings.
Though NOW more and more are wondering just how much his cheating has helped him.

at least Bradshaw admitted he just threw it up and hoped which is far more than Sheli has ever done as regards the helmet catch.

Agree. Terry benefited from Swanns athleticism. As I recall several of his completions he never saw as he was flat on the ground.
