It happens to all team’s fans when the back up QB comes in and plays well for a stretch of games. The insanity has come to Dallas. Not that Dak doesn’t need to prove himself but what is that mantra of caution “ let’s tap the brakes” for gosh sake’s
I don't know. He is making good reads, getting the ball out on time, hitting receivers in stride and not taking any sacks. He is decisive and runs the offense well. He has made big plays in crucial situations. When they opened up the offense in the 4th when we got down he was up to the task.

Absent the PI on Brown in the End zone and the Ceedee drop he would have scored 30 points if needed. Did not make any of the questionable throws he did last week either!

Will it continue?, who knows, but what's not to like?

People are just over Dak.

They were literally throwing trash at him after 3 quarters and another injury. That was before Rush came in and had 2 solid games.

It's not a phenomenon. It's just people are fed up watching Dak.

I don't think anyone thinks Rush is the answer either.
Rush is the answer....at backup quarterback. He's more than proven that.

Problem is, how much difference is there between him and our starter?

This is a phenomenon with backups in general, not just the QB. Everyone wants Pollard to start. Folks are ready to kick Schultz to the curb...

People have finally come to understand what Dak is though !

I don't believe Dak or Rush is the guy, but Rush is better than Dak is right now.

You're just another bitter Dallas Prescott fan that is upset we're winning without him.

Not bitter at all, I'm a Cowboys fan I pull for the Cowboys. Damn happy to see Rush go out and prove critics wrong, guys who said Dallas needed to get rid of him. You got the wrong guy I am 100% Cowboys meaning regardless of who is in the lineup I hope they have success and win. Not agenda driven like you at all. Been that was since 65 when I 1st started pulling for the Cowboys. I'm always about the team and winning

It sounds like you're trying to convince yourself.

You're wasting your time trying to convince me. I've had enough back and forths with you to know where you stand.

Since you don't know me, your view means nothing, You are a joke. I very happy with the play of Rush and the rest of the team.

People or you? I sure as hell do not feel that way.
People are finally coming to the realization that Dak isn’t the answer. If you want to maybe make the playoffs and be 1 and done, then Dak’s your man.Cooper has been nice as a #2.He has all the traits of a very good QB,bright, film room junkie, reads D’s extremely quickly, accurate, but in Dec when snow, rain, and wind are prevalent, his lack of arm strength and athleticism could be his undoing.

Wait until there's more than 3 hours of film on him.

Sorry I don't buy that, you are free to feel as you please.

And that’s fine, but those people need to just say that. People who hate Dak for whatever reason just need to admit their desire for Rush to continue playing is purely out of bitterness and spite. This “Rush is better” facade from people who often can’t even explain basic NFL passing concepts is tiresome.

I think it’s incredibly stupid to want an inferior QB to start just to satisfy one’s own grudge, but I’d certainly respect it more if more people just admitted it.
I think you should consider that fans want the Cowboys to win. In this situation, Rush gives the team the best chance to win, so they are pulling for him. Let’s be honest, fans want another Super Bowl win and Dak has shown repeatedly that he is not going to be the one that leads them to it. Many fans are ready to move on from Dak after the loss to the 49ers last year. It was an embarrassingly bad game for Dak and the rest of the team. Rush doesn’t have that baggage following him, so he offers a fresh hope.

Actually he doesnt.
If you’re a professional athlete, you always have to prove yourself that you belong where you are. The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league. Your mindset is part of the reason why Dakota probably feels “comfortable” and coddled in Dallas.

When the back up replaces a great QB that's one scenario.
When he replaces an ineffective QB
And provides decent/good play, that's a different story.
Fans just want to win, and Coop gives us the better chance.

Rush has done an outstanding job. But I know it takes defenses about 4 or 5 games to pick up on a QB's tendencies. Rush might not be starting for 4 or 5 games. But, if we were to have Rush starting that long, I'd love to see how he plays after the NFL catches up with him.

Has any of the posters here come right out and said they believe we can win a Super Bowl with Rush? I know there is an anti-Dak crowd, so if none of those guys have said it...that means deep down they don't believe in Rush either.
